Green Habitat is a lush green oasis located between two private reserves, Monteverde Wildlife Refuge and Finca Santamarias (Protected Areas) which means we are situated in a biological corridor, where there is a lot of wildlife and native species of flora and fauna . Our place is only 2 kilometers or 5 minutes drive away from downtown Monteverde with close proximity to restaurants, grocery stores, monteverde brewing company, souvenir shops, drugstores, bars and other tourist attractions.

Our spacious and rustic cabin is surrounded by lush cloud forest and wildlife. Cut off from immediate neighbors, the house is secluded yet easily accessible from the main road. If you are looking to experience the peaceful and healing energy of the Monteverde cloud forest, this location will certainly not disappoint. The house was built with love by a local family who lived in the area for many years, and it’s tastefully furnished to make you feel at home upon arrival.

The two spacious bedrooms upstairs feature private bathrooms and balconies, where you can wake up to the sounds of nature. The ground floor includes a fully equipped kitchen and a terrace with a glass roof, ideal for cooking or relaxing. Please note that there is no living room, as most guests spend their days exploring the forest and return to rest. To maintain cleanliness and prevent insects, please keep windows closed as you’re in the heart of the forest

This is a naturalists cabin located at Finca Colibri, a 20ha (50ac) private preserve bordering the Monteverde Cloud Forest Preserve. It is very comfortable and ecologically sustainable in biologically rich forest. The passive solar design is a pace setter. Most of Finca Colibri is virgin cloud forest. A third of the property that was pasture 30 years ago is now beautiful secondary forest. Once you arrive you can largely forget your cares.
