Cottage holiday rentals in Monteverde

Excellent place to go to share with friends! :) very nice and comfortable

It was a quiet stay, anything you need are always attentive right next door to doña Odiney that anything you need is very friendly, the local people are very friendly and the views and the waterfall are beautiful

We absolutely loved this place. It is well maintained and has everything you need. It feels like home. The woodwork in the house is so beautiful. The property is gorgeous and has trails to explore. Carolina and Manuel arranged to get some specially requested food for our stay. They had the food there for our arrival which was so helpful. Manuel took us on an awesome night hike. Carolina’s husband also gave us a tour of the property too. Carolina and her family really go out of their way to make this a welcoming place. They grow amazing coffee on the property which we really enjoyed. They also shared their garden veggies and the bananas. We stayed 4 days and wished we had stayed longer. We found it easy to go into Monteverde for activities like coffee tours, cloud forest, animal sanctuary el Tigre waterfall, etc. There are some great restaurants close by the house and of course in monteverde too. We enjoyed ordering homemade empanadas from cafe Horizonte for breakfast.

We stayed at Juan's recently and were very happy! The unit itself is gorgeous with everything meeting our needs, and the host was very responsive, helpful and made the check-in and check-out process very straightforward with clear instructions. I would definitely recommend this unit and would stay here again!

It matches the description, the house has all the conveniences to enjoy as a family. We traveled with a baby and pets and did not have any problems.

This was an amazing AirBnB there is far more to do and enjoy on the farm than you expect. The farm is enormous and there is a short hike down a little hill through the jungle that leads down to a big open area for cattle where you can cross a stream and enjoy the beautiful nature. Also there is this great, cheap restaurant called Victorino's which is relatively close.

We stayed for two weeks and felt sad to leave. Yuliana and her parents were great hosts, always responsive and helpful, recommending places to eat and visit and the occasional gift. Throw into that their dogs who asked for little more than a belly rub for their friendship. The cottage itself was as described. Large screened windows kept the place aired and let the sounds of nature flood in. The lack of aircon meant it was often hot especially upstairs and in the afternoon but what you get in return is a deeper connection to your surroundings. This included visits from capuchin and howler monkeys, birds, bats, toads and countless butterflies, and a diverse range of insects. The screens are pretty good at keeping the latter outside, and you can close the windows. Wi-Fi is decent and other amenities as described. With the heat we didn’t cook much but the option was there. We’d 100% return for the hospitality, the closeness to nature and the dogs.

Neal and Diane were very helpful. we had some issues with the car, contacting folks back home. They gave us some good tips. I had an issue with my knee and they gave me the number to a physical therapist in the area. Claudia was great, I was experiencing no pain by the time I left. The pool was a good place to watch storms move in and out from. The birds and other ani.als made it wonderful to look at. There property is just so beautiful. Tronodora is small but has all the things in a short walk for a long stay or a short stay. We had a car but on most days we simply walked into town. We fid hang out with there two dogs, Franny and Albert. They were cute, loving, creatures.

My daughter and her boyfriend were there for a bike ride ride. The location was perfect for proximity to the ride and a great environment to relax following a strenuous day! There was a slight mix up with rooms, but it was quickly resolved for everyone. And, my daughter loved the replacement digs (pets included!) Kees is extremely easy to communicate with and very responsive. We highly recommend him and his accommodations.

The house is so airy and spacious. You are submersed in nature with the birds and it is so amazing to see the beautiful macaw that lives in the tree out front just hanging out while we have coffee. I think the road has recently been upgraded with asphalt. I didn't need a 4X4 to get there. The house was stocked with everything we needed and very clean.

Once you find the place it’s easy to get to it again. Since addresses are a bit not a thing here it is frustrating but the host was helpful and make sure you use Waze

I loved your house! Celebrated my son's birthday, an afternoon at the pool and they had a blast playing football! The views are spectacular! In addition to being very well equipped! The rooms have air conditioning, which is very important in such a hot climate! The host Eduardo is a wonderful, very proactive person; In short, 10/10! We'll be back!

The accommodation is absolutely amazing. All the activities are very close, the accommodation is super well maintained and beautiful and the host is involved. I recommend it 100% for the very affordable price.

Aracelly was incredibly welcoming, bringing us fresh local fruit, a jar of homemade pesto (which met with rave reviews), and some cookies from a local shop to start our stay. Everything was clean and as described in the listing. We were a family 5, grandparents, us and my three year old child. The three bedrooms and beds were just perfect and comfortable for us. Aracelly herself was incredibly thoughtful, sweet and caring. My father broke his glasses, snapping them right at the bridge piece. We asked Aracelly if she happened to have tape in the house, and although she didn't, she surprised us with a delivery of tape and super glue. We cannot say enough good things about our stay. The property is right by the main road but secluded with all the surrounding trees and plants. The windows in the kitchen area are wonderful to wake up to as you're puttering around making coffee and breakfast. At night, it's a perfect place to watch the sunset amongst the tree. Beautiful little casita and a great place to stay while visiting Monteverde. The wifi was spotty at times, but I think they were having that looked into. Graciela is a gem!

A really nice place to live in. We only spent 3 nights there but we would have stayed longer. Spacious, extremely clean apartment, and a more than awesome garden! And Monica and her family are very kind and welcoming. Recommended

Incredible spot secluded and just minutes from Monteverde Cloud Forest. Angel was excellent at communication and coming to meet us when we arrived, he had great recommendations for coffee and things to do. We enjoyed this stay very much and can't recommend it enough!

We loved the vibe of this cabin & both rooms. My favorite part was definitely the owner Olger and his adorable German Shepard. Olger was extremely responsive, providing extra towels and anything we needed at all times, including a guide that provided us with all tour recommendations & we were able to message both of them anytime as well for convenience. FYI that the listed host Alex is not as responsive through chat but Olger was the one we connected with when we first arrived and called the host number. He met us at the gas station down the street to help bring us to the location. Also pro tip that if you keep the water pressure low, it’s sufficiently warm but does not get hot, which is standard for the type of heater there was. Super close to everything, including a grocery store, great restaurants, and the cloud forest. Would def recommend.

This was a perfect stay for our family. The house is about 3 minute walk (gentle up hill on the property) to the road, which was perfect because the cars didn’t disturb us. It felt like a retreat. There is a walk behind the house to a private waterfall and the trail takes around 30 minutes and is such a gift. We spent a lot of our time on this tail and by the river. We saw monkeys, coatis and lots of birds. The cows graze in the land around and are a joy to watch. The house is bigger than it looks on the photos. Great sofa, hot shower, all appliances in kitchen, bed huge and comfortable. Washing machine and dryer. Everything we needed for a long stay. Wifi is fast and reliable, a few times due to the wind it cut out but returned shortly after, we work online so this was important. The owners are perfect, welcoming and very helpful. 8 minutes drive to Santa Elena, 20’mins to monteverde, we used a taxi. Loved our stay - thank you so much.

Jessica was super helpful and responsive. The place was exactly what we needed it for, and it had an incredible view from the porches!
