Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Monterey Bay

Susan was awesome with responding to any question we had! The place was perfect for our family to gather and stay together for my son’s wedding, which was just a few miles away. We highly recommend the home for a group!!! Thank you, Susan!!!!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The place is clean and comfortable, with a lovely redwood tree in the back yard. It is very close to Henry Cowell State Park and the beautiful trails there. Felton's lovely downtown is close by as well. Tim was very nice and helpful. We highly recommend staying with Tim and Kathy!

What to say. It was so peaceful we kept taking naps. It is a beautiful home nestled in a rolling hillside. The design is spacious with enough room to congregate with or separate from your travel companions. The backyard garden provides beauty and a home for a variety of birds, squirrels, and lizards. You might even spot a few deer at the top of the hillside. Sean and Wendy were great hosts. They responded to my requests quickly and went the extra mile to accommodate our requests. This is a definitely a home to return to.

Everything we wanted, would love to come back

First off the photos don’t do this house justice. The spaces, including that wonderful balcony, are bigger than you think. We had 7 adults, a toddler & an infant and we didn’t feel cramped at all. The beds, linens and pillows were so comfy, the multitude of windows to let the ocean air breeze come through, along with fans in the bedrooms, were perfect. The kitchen was the most well equipped I’ve used in an Airbnb before. The wagon, chairs and beach towels were also so nice to have for the short one block walk to Black Beach (one of my favorites in Santa Cruz). Oh and do not let the 1 full bathroom for everyone scare you off. Having the 2 half baths made it all work and we never had an issue. My family LOVED this place and wants to come back so very much. We have spent 26 years coming to Santa Cruz almost annually and this was our best residential experience yet. Thank you to Kim and her Rental Mgr, Nancy, for taking care of us and communicating so well. This family highly recommends!

I had a good communication with Casey before and during our stay. There were a few things that my group wanted to know and she responded with minimal wait time. The driveway up to the house was steep and curvy which the host explained very well. But not a problem driving up since we arrived with the sun is still up. I don't remember seeing any lights on the driveway which might be a problem driving up at night. Beautiful scenery around the wrap around deck. The house was very spacious for our group of 5 couples. A tray with snacks, coffee and wine awaited us in the kitchen, as well as bottled water in the fridge. I would definitely stay here again and also recommend this house to friends or family if they are in the area. On a side note: it would've been nice if they had some type of games (billiards, ping pong, foosball or arcade games inside the 2 car garage.

If your looking for a rural peaceful place with beautiful views , piece full surroundings with all the amenities this is the spot. We had a great time!

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Susanne's place! It was located in a quiet neighborhood north of downtown Carmel. While the walk into town takes a little while (~25 minutes downhill to town and ~30 minutes to climb back up to the house), there are lovely cottages and beautiful gardens to admire on the way and a nice path to guide you through the intersections. The home was very well-appointed with plenty of toiletries in the bathroom if you forgot anything and lots of books/records/DVDs to entertain yourself in the evenings. In the kitchen, Susanne has provides snacks and tea/coffee. Unfortunately, a guest before us damaged the electric kettle by placing it on the hot plate. However, I notified Susanne and she responded quickly and had a new kettle waiting on the porch the next morning. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing and cozy trip to Carmel!

It was a dreamy experience for us. Had a really cozy experience. Jeffrey was super responsive, he got back to us even we booked after check in hours as a last minute change. He drove in shortly and let us inside. Definitely recommend for such an experience.

Maria Elena's studio apartment is perfect for two people. It is roomy and completely updated. The king size bed is comfortable and the mini-split heat/air conditioner is perfect for the changes in weather in San Jose. The neighborhood is peaceful, safe and walkable to a local grocery, coffee and restaurants. I recommend Maria Elena's apartment and will stay there again on my next trip to San Jose.

Ben's place was the perfect place for us to stay while visiting family in Santa Cruz. it's clean, quiet and comfortable and centrally located, so easy to get to everything. The space is very true to the pictures, the kitchen is fully functional with good appliances and all the necessary cookware and utensils for easily eating in. There are thoughtful touches throughout the house and Ben is friendly and communicative while also respectfully honoring his guests space. We felt safe and comfortable and would absolutely recommend Ben's place as well as stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Jane’s beautiful oceanfront home! The views from the patio, and living room were absolutely stunning—we even spotted seal pups right from the patio. The location is perfect: easy walking distance to the aquarium, Cannery Row, the beach, and a scenic walking/bike path. The home was spotless and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed—laundry soap, extra towels, high-quality bedding, and comfortable, homey furniture. Jane made the check-in process seamless with clear instructions and even left us a list of local recommendations and binoculars to enjoy the views. Although Jane lives upstairs, the unit feels very private. She was responsive and welcoming, while giving us plenty of space. This was one of the most comfortable and well-prepared rentals we’ve stayed in. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay here! The place is cozy, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked, which made meals easy during our visit. It’s also conveniently located near kid-friendly attractions like Happy Hollow Park & Zoo, The Tech Interactive, and the Children’s Discovery Museum—great for our family trip.

This is my second stay here and it is a wonderful place to stay. The location, amenities, beautiful kitchen, and assigned parking are what keeps me coming back! Barnaby was easy to reach to troubleshoot any issues. The most perfect location in Capitola, there is also a cute delicious coffee shop/bakery just steps away! Definitely stay here if you get the chance to.

everything was super nice, only thing was the charger didnt work which was very bummed out, but overall house is super spacious and nice, plenty of room for family and friends! mason was helpful & communicative!

Although our trip was a short weekend trip, Nick’s place suited all our needs and had a lot to space to accommodate our party. If we return to that area in the future, we would definitely book again. Thank you.

A minor issue with our original reservation was quickly resolved by the PowerWest Team. They responded immediately and went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of and had a perfect trip. The unit is a beautiful, well equipped condo with spectacular ocean front views. I rented this house to celebrate my birthday with friends and it was such a beautiful, well sized space. The views were gorgeous and the accommodations were unique and perfect for what we needed. Overall such an amazing stay and would definitely consider coming back again.

This place is a real gem: located in the heart of San Jose, very spacious, and has everything for a comfortable stay. We were three families staying together, a total of 6 adults, a toddler and a baby, and every one of us enjoyed very much staying at Marine’s place. The place itself is a house with an additional suite on the back with a separate entrance. Several cars can be easily parked on premises, for sure 3, and perhaps even 4. The area is beautiful and very quiet, and everything is within a few-minute drive. The host is great: responsive, polite, and kind; he allowed us a late checkout because of the baby. Overall: a very well deserved five stars!

My two adult daughters and myself had a quick overnight stay in San Jose and this place was perfect! Clean! Comfy beds! Plenty of room! We stayed in the third floor suite which had a kitchen and a sweet little reading nook. We will definitely book again when heading through San Jose!

Absolutely beautiful property, the views are incredible. The home was very clean, cozy and comfortable. It felt like a home away from home. Outside there are so many different places you can sit back and relax. Lisa and Chris were very responsive and welcoming.

This was one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. The home is exactly as described, spacious, beautifully decorated, and full of good energy. It had everything we could possibly need, and every room having its own bathroom was a huge plus. The entire house was spotless and incredibly well maintained, everything worked perfectly, which is rare to find. We especially loved spending our mornings in the backyard, listening to and watching the beautiful birds. Our hosts were truly wonderful, and we would love to return in the future!
