Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Metropolitan Borough of Gateshead

We booked our stay for a 30th birthday weekend with family, the house is stunning and has everything you need and more. Perfect for a celebration. The stay was perfect from start to finish, the only downside we would say was the 10am check out, which we feel is a bit too early especially when check in isn’t until 4pm - When asked for a later check out there was a charge even though there was nobody else due to stay that day. Despite this, we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and would recommend Kimberley and her lovely home. Thank you for having us.

Tom has been an extremely helpful and his house was an ideal base for an overnight stay prior to exploring Durham. Great value for money providing a good kitchen space to eat and a lovely couple of bedrooms. Thank you Tom we would stay again if we are visiting this area.

Absolutely gorgeous house in a beautiful location. Everything was spotless. Angela was a brilliant host, and left lots of extra finishing touches to make our stay 10/10. We will definitely stay here again, and would recommend in a heartbeat.

Fantastic place - one of the nicest we have ever stayed in. Immaculately presented and in a quiet farm location adjacent to some woodlands which were great for walking. Perfect for anyone seeking a relaxing and peaceful break. Jane was a fantastic host who responded quickly to our messages. The welcome pack and information supplied for visitors were excellent.

Fantastic stay, felt like a home from home. Lovely garden, good parking, well-located for shops and places to eat, near to beaches and just generally a great place to stay. Great communication from start to finish. Would highly recommend!

The house was light, airy and spacious - the large rooms were perfectly equipped for our family gathering. A mixture of furnishing styles, but a comfortable and welcoming house. Although 20 minutes drive to Newcastle city centre, there were plenty of frequent buses available close by

We stayed here for one night when visiting Durham - it was perfect. From the moment we stepped foot through the front door, it felt like home. The property was exactly as described and had everything we needed. If visiting the area again, I wouldn’t hesitate to book this property again.

Wonderful hosts; friendly and responsive. Great location that was close to the main shops, pubs and restaurants in Hexam as well as for visiting Hadrian's Wall. Extremely well equipped and clean. Highly recommend.

Gorgeous, stylish and comfortable flat in a great location for exploring the city. Everything has been thought about: the interior design, the kitchen equipment, the parking permits and the coffee pods, and everything was comfortable and stress free. Spotlessly clean, impeccable comms and a really friendly welcome. There is some road noise, so if you're not normally a city dweller, you could be disturbed. Wasn't a problem for us - highly recommend.

Linda's apartment was just perfect for our stay. Absolutely spotless, everything you could possibly want was available. Great location, 5 minute walk to the Metro then just 3 stops into the city centre or a little bit longer to the coast. Linda was lovely, very welcoming with great communication. Absolutely 5*. Chris's apartment is very comfy and clean and perfectly placed for exploring Teesdale, Weardale, Barnard Castle and the local area. Chris offered lots of useful recommendations and was a helpful and friendly host. Would definitely recommend this apartment.

Great central location, close to train station. Walkable everywhere. Flat is clean, spacious, kitchen well stocked with pots and utensils. Beds super comfortable. Safe location. Host was super responsive.
