House holiday rentals in Medway

We had a fantastic stay over Christmas at this beautiful family house - it was a home away from home and perfect for hosting Christmas lunch. It is one half of a very large former coach house, with another private home and a distillery in the rest of the building. However, it is still extremely private and peaceful, with gorgeous views over the rolling hills and a stunning garden with swimming pond and sauna (the latter was great for a December stay!) The finish and design of the kitchen, dining room, living room and two-storey hallway is beautiful, as is the huge master bedroom. The house was well equipped with everything you might need, with the highlight being the enormous TV screen - perfect for keeping kids entertained. We enjoyed the two wood burning stoves as well. A huge thank you to the host, who was absolutely brilliant - so responsive and helpful with our last minute booking, despite being in New Zealand at the time! Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic time at Dormestone House. It is an amazing property with so much space so perfect for visiting with family or friends. It was the perfect place to celebrate Christmas. Would love to go in summer when we could use all of the facilities.

We booked for a week and then booked again for a second week, Rory and his mum Jane were fantastic, even got an invite to a birthday party at their own home. Such a great family run business, I will be coming again possibly on a long term contract 😉☺️

Approaching the lodge was breath taking, driving through the forest felt much like a story book, and seeing the surrounds when driving to park outside our home for the week, was very exciting. The photos do not tell the full beauty of this place, the owners were around when called for assistance, once as I didn't read the instructions as well as I should have for the hob use in the kitchen, Richard was personable, friendly, and a pleasure to meet, the family go above and beyond to make this holiday wonderful. The bedrooms were comfortable, the lounge/dining area/kitchen, were larger/spacious than we'd thought they would be, the entrance hall a beautiful surprise. Both homely and clean, just 15 steps from back double doors to the edge of the pool, great facilities and blow up bed/rings for the pool, my daughter absolutely loved it, as did we. We will definitely come again, thank you for the most relaxing happy week. Oh and we could not have wished for better weather, it was perfect.

Cherie was an incredible host! The communication leading up to the event was excellent, with Cherie taking the time to discuss the specifications of the houses. The pool was a perfect addition to our holiday, the neighbours were really lovely and the house was very easy to find. We are already thinking about when we can return!

This place was beautiful! Really felt like a time travel and a very worthwhile escape from ordinary living, but at the same time the modern comforts made it a pleasure to stay in. Everything worked beautifully and it was warm and comfortable. Both my partner and I would highly recommend this place and will consider it for ourselves again :) Host was excellent and really knows how to dress the place because every detail was perfect!

I booked Joseph's property on behalf of colleagues of mine working in the area. This was my second time booking this property, as as before, Joseph was a lovely and responsive host to contact! All details were sent with perfect explanations. The property it's self was everything they needed! I would definitely love to book again in the future and would recommend to anyone looking at booking in the area

Lovely place! We all enjoyed our stay! Very new and clean… mo was always at hand when needed something or ask a question! Would 100% recommend

We stayed here for a night and wasnt at the property much but everything was as described. Very spacious and clean it met our needs and expectations. The bath was especially lovely! I have a terrible fear of rodents and the next door neighbours have a sign saying "beware of rats" as it looked like they keep them as pets as there was one free roaming on the windowsill with lots of old furniture and rubbish outside. Once you are inside the property is great just be mindful there is very limited local parking ask the local shopkeeper who showed me as there is no parking permits outside.

Anthonia was great particularly since the booking was very short notice (same day), Our team really enjoyed their stay - which was extended, again at short notice. Everything was as seen on the photos, even better. Staying again, if available next month. Robert.
