The traditional wooden building, finished without a single nail, was completed by a renowned architect and a master carpenter. It is a calm space where you can feel the warmth of the craftsmanship. The strong yet delicate wooden frame, natural light through the shoji, and the shadows created by Isamu Noguchi's AKARI lighting create a beautiful fusion of tradition and modernity. The interior walls are made of Tosa plaster by artisans. You can have a comfortable stay regardless of the season, surrounded by the scent of cedar and cypress. The size is 195 ㎡. There are 4 Japanese-style rooms with 8 tatami mats that can accommodate up to 10 people. This place is perfect for those who want to experience the beauty and tranquility of Japan. Iizuna Kogen, where you can enjoy the seasonal nature. Beautiful green summer, colorful autumn leaves, and winter with snow-covered scenery - you can feel a different charm every time you visit. During the day, you can spend an active time strolling in the shade of the trees and feeling the highland breeze, and at night, you can enjoy a relaxing time with a blanket at hand. A newly built villa with a quiet 100-tsubo (1,500 m²) forest garden, available for rent as a whole. Honmura has been featured in Travel Salad and Ariyoshi no Kabe. Why not spend a comfortable time in this spacious villa? This is a special space for rent as a whole, located in a nature-filled forest. In the quiet living room, the cosy warmth of the fireplace spreads, and you can also enjoy NETFLIX with the latest Aladdin projector. For a relaxing time, we recommend warming your body from the core in the sauna, which can accommodate up to 7 people, and then cooling off in the outdoor jacuzzi. From the large wooden deck terrace, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the great outdoors. For a special experience, try outdoor dining using the gas BBQ grill (for a fee). After procuring fresh ingredients locally, move to the Rock Forest, park your car in the parking lot, and go up the stairs to bring the ingredients to the hearth space. You won't see any other people. It is 60 minutes by Shinkansen from Tokyo to Karuizawa, and 30 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station, so you can work in the morning and take a half-day off in the afternoon, for example. Surrounded by nature, you can relax and enjoy an extraordinary time. < Winter season November-March > The outdoor bath is closed during the winter months.
