Smoking-friendly holiday rentals in Madeira Island

Good communication with the host and nearby airport fits my requirements. The apartment is too big for two people; it is better to rent for four people :) Thanks for hosting us and being responsive regarding our delayed flight:)

The apartment is large, with direct views of the sea, large and extremely practical kitchen. The decor is Portuguese with wooden furniture, the beds are comfortable, the two bathrooms very clean and sparkling clean. The location is excellent, the fruits and drinks to welcome were very friendly. Highlight for the kids was the huge fridge with ice maker! Highly recommend!

With the good location, walking distance to Funchal Centrum and good bus connection, no car would have been necessary for visiting Funchal and surroundings. Parking was not good every day.

One of the best Airbnbs I've stayed in - great location close to everything you need, spacious and clean with a lovely balcony! Tony communicated really well too. Will definitely be staying here again when back in Madeira!

We stayed at the property for a week and felt very much at home. The location is very central and you are immediately in the city but also on the promenade. Communication was always good and we were quickly helped with questions. We would also book the place a second time. :)

It was super, lovely studio, pool and great views. Quietly located, great for exploring the island. You can pick up sandwich at the neighborhood supermarket. We were kindly welcomed by Germano's father. Germano responded right away if we had any questions. In short, recommended

Very pleasant stay of 10 days with our 2 children in the accommodation of Valdemar. Our late check-in did not prevent our host from doing what was necessary so that we were very well received after receiving clear instructions that allowed us to find the apartment very easily. No complaints about this accommodation, we are delighted, quiet apartment, very clean with all the amenities at the foot of the building and a large parking space. We were able to easily visit the whole island staying at this same place, Easy access to the main road, it was perfect. I would definitely recommend this listing for your stays in Madeira. The house is spacious, very nice, and spotlessly clean. The outdoor area is large, and faces the ocean. It is a perfect spot to watch the sunset without going to crowded tourist viewpoints. We felt very comfortable and truly enjoyed our stay in this house! Carlos is friendly and chatty. He personally welcomed us when we arrived, explained all the facilities in the house, and recommended many tourist attractions and dining spots.

We had a wonderful time at Nasha's house! It's simple but you won't be short of anything. We felt very welcome and comfortable. Nasha is super responsive and always very clear. Her tips and explanations were also clear and make sure you can enjoy your stay right away. If you are looking for a nice, quiet spot, away from the hustle and bustle of Funchal, Nasha's house is recommended!

We had a great stay and the location is sensational. There was everything you needed and we were also set up the travel cot before arrival.

The cottage met our expectations as much as possible. Everything was as described and photographed, the interior was tidy and clean. Beautiful neighborhood, the cottage has large glazing through which you can admire the mountains. The host responds quickly to questions, if there's always Aldino in the area, who will also always help, show the farm. During your stay, you can use the fruits and vegetables that grow on the farm. A great place to relax. A great base, located in the north, more or less in the middle, making it close to everything.

Maria is an available, caring, and very kind host. She is flexible on check-in and checkout. The accommodation matches the photos, it is very clean, the bathroom and kitchen are a little "old" but everything you need is there. Ponta Delgada is a very quiet village but with a grocery store and a pharmacy. The accommodation is located at the end of the point and the terrace offers a magnificent view.

Roomy and very well located, this was a perfect spot for 6 adults who were doing a mix of touring and working remotely. Wifi was great for work, especially on the main level. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, along with a 1/2 bath on the main level, with two kitchen areas and lovely terrace, so very convenient and private for 3 couples. It is located on a lively street with restaurants and a pool hall, so busy during the day, but the area quiets down at nightime and Sundays. Appliances and supplies were as described and great to have a clothes dryer! Ligia was terrific in meeting us at check in and answering questions. Really a great place!

We loved the house in Madalena do Mar. It was spotless, and communication with the host was great. The location is excellent — a perfect central base to get pretty much anywhere on the island. No traffic, not too many people, and still a few really good restaurants within walking distance. The sunsets were stunning, and everything was incredibly clean. I honestly have nothing negative to say — the Airbnb was even better than in the photos. The terrace is huge. Thank you so much, Thérésina!

Very clean place with lots of things inside to cook and feel comfortable! The location is ideal for visiting the east coast of the island and it is easy to park nearby! I would highly recommend it!

Stephanie was a great host, super responsive and very flexible with us which was really helpful. The view from the apartment was absolutely stunning and it is a huge space, really great for groups or families travelling together.

Delila was an great host. Apartment was clean with all the amenities. Location is great, close to the beaches, stores and restaurants. Bus stop is right in front of the apartment.

Alexandro was extremely responsive regarding the check-in procedure and on arrival was waiting at the entrance. He then proceeded to show us the apartment and also the car space in the basement. He kept in contact with us during our stay and recommended places to visit and eat. Having been to the area before we knew exactly where the apartment was located. Although building work was being undertaken nearby this did not affect our enjoyment.
