A fantastic retreat in the heart of the beautiful somme region of France, a great place to explore the battlefields and to just relax in the very peaceful village. Virginie was a great host and immediately answered any questions we had. I can definitely recommend this place and hopefully one day I will return. I'm a very happy customer.

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely farmhouse in Contalmaison. The location is steeped in history, set right within the Somme battlefield—an ideal base for anyone wanting to explore this remarkable region. The house itself is spacious, comfortable, and full of rural French charm, nestled on a working farm which adds to the authentic experience. I stayed with my three sons, and we all really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and cozy setup. It’s just a short 10-minute drive to Albert, making it super convenient while still feeling like a true escape into the countryside. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. I honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough—whether you’re visiting the Somme or simply looking for a quiet getaway in a beautiful setting, this place is perfect.
