What a great 3 nights at this cosy little cottage! Warm and welcoming as soon as you step through the door. Slept really well and a lovely powerful hot shower. A lovely breakfast basket was provided with bread , jam, milk, orange juice, butter, and welsh cakes. We took the welsh cakes on our hike to the top of Pen Y Fan . A great location to explore the beautiful Brecons. Highly recommend the Coffee box ,5 mins walk into the town for delicious coffee and cake. Lovely local walk along the river through woodland we accessed through the cathedral grounds.

Delightful, spacious and well maintained cottage in the centre of Brecon. Everything was very comfortable with carefully chosen antiques and probably every book written about Wales. The location was just perfect for me and was easy to find. Sally was a great host!

We picked Simon’s place due to its locality and is situated in the centre of Brecon village, it’s around a 15 minute drive to Pen Y Fan and adjacent summits and would recommend parking at the National Trust at Pont Ar Darf, the roads around are perfect to explore the rest of the Brecon Beacons NP within 1 hour drive. The cottage itself did not disappoint, it was a lot bigger than expected and the garden was large and secure. The cottage was warm, clean, cosy and we felt right at home with our small pack of 🐕 . There is a Morrisons 3 min drive (Though it’s P & D) / 12 min Walk away and you have everything you require in the cottage to cook decent meals. Things to note if you have dogs the front door opens on to the main road so just be careful when you leave, also recommend to bring a temporary stair gate so the dogs don’t go upstairs. Honestly 💯 would recommend picking Simon’s place for your staycation as he was highly responsive, friendly and gave great local recommendations.

This was the second time we’ve stayed at Danny's house and we love it. It was clean, well-appointed with plenty of supplies and everything worked. It has a pleasant, dog-friendly garden, with decent outdoor furniture. Location-wise, it’s in a pleasant estate 10 minutes from the bridge or 15 from the centre of town with a Spar 5 minutes away for any emergency supplies. The two double bedrooms and two twins are comfortable with plenty of storage space. The upstairs bathroom was well supplied and the outdoor loo and lockable bike shed were fine in daylight hours. Loads of information provided on local hikes and trails. We'd happily recommend it to anyone.
