In the middel of the county of Holsteinische Schweiz, in between the lake district of Plön there is a tiny, lovely place called Seinbusch. It is about 10 km to the bigger towns Eutin and Plön, about 35km to get to Kiel and Lübeck and just about half an hour drive to get to the Baltic sea. But there is also a lot to discover if you want to stay close by. Mainly there is nature, lovely cycle paths along the lakes, you can take long walks to breath fresh air or visit the village Bosau ( 3km ) with a nice bathing meadow, possible boat trips and lovely markets every now and then…It´s a wonderful paradise that invites to relax and to take a break from any cities hustle and bustle. The nearest supermarket is only 2,5km away in the next village called Hutzfeld. We´ve got 2 rooms for rent in the first floor of our detached house. There is also a daylight-bathroom with a bathtub. Both rooms offer double beds. We offer a microwave, a toaster, a coffee machine, a water kettle as well as a fridge at your disposal. If you want to cook a meal, please let us know and we are happy to share our kitchen. Please let us also know if you want to wash and dry your clothes. In our big garden there are many cosy places to relax. Otherwise there is free WiFi. We´ve got 2 bicycles that can be rent for 5€ a day. You can park your car directly in front of the house.
“The room was cozy and nicely decorated. Everything was super clean, both the room and the bathroom. Very warm, uncomplicated and nice hosts with whom you like to have a chat. We were only there for one night, but I would recommend it for a longer stay.”
Stay on a peninsula in the small Plöner See at the gates of Kiel and the Baltic Sea. The manor house offers b & b accommodations. From her room you can see the water or the natural landscape.
“Staying in the Gut Wittmoldt castle is an absolute dream. The easy drive from Hamburg meant that after 1 hour we were in the middle of a fairytale surrounded by the beautiful Plön lakes, fresh strawberries and apple trees and beautiful nature. Arriving at the castle is almost surreal, and once you meet a smiling Amélie at the front door she immediately makes you feel at home. The rooms are spacious and conserve all the historical furniture and in general, you can breathe in the history of the house and the family during your stay. It is a very special place :) The breakfast which comes included (a big big plus!) is prepared with love and you can tell. The host Amélie or her son Phillipp will greet you every morning and ask if everything is alright and if we need anything. They are always happy to help and give recommendations of what to do/see around their area, but at the same time give you enough distance to enjoy the stay and make you feel like it is your own castle for a few days! We rented the SUPs but you can also use their boat and explore the lake region. The picturesque town of Plön is less than 10 minutes away by car and offers nice dinner places. The airbnb also has beer, wine and water available for your stay, which you then pay upon check-out. Overall, this has been the best airbnb we have stayed at and we hope to come back as soon as possible for those unforgettable sunsets on the deck. THANK YOU to the Gut Wittmoldt team and special thanks to Amélie and Phillipp!”
Our house is an approx. 200 year old farmhouse. We have converted the house for residential purposes, so that today there are a total of 9 rooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 toilets and a kitchen. It is a half-timbered house, so the floor plans of the rooms are unusual. OUR HOUSE IS NOT A HOLIDAY APARTMENT! A family lives here. Even if we have already changed a lot for the rental, you will always come across personal items and furnishings.
“We were with a work group of 10 people in the house and really excited! The atmosphere and location of the house are really great and we felt very comfortable. The large kitchen in particular was immediately taken with everyone. And for cold days there is underfloor heating. Communication also worked very easily. All in all a very cozy house, which is well suited for groups. We'll be happy to come back on occasion!”
