Family-friendly holiday rentals in Leeds and Grenville United Counties

We had a great family week away at David’s place and as a host he was super helpful. The view from the window/hot-tub/deck was fantastic, shame we could not bring it home with us! The weather was not great for the week, meaning limited time on the lake. We did manage a day on a hired boat, the other days we went on day trips to local towns and Ottawa by train from Brockville. We also did a city cruise of 1000 islands and attended the annual 1000 islands rib fest. The house was well equipped with all we needed for a great family stay and a relaxing week. For a BBQ recommend a trip to “The Butcher Shop”.

We stayed at Robin’s place for a weekend with 3 other families. Had a wonderful time and made full use of the great facilities. Highly recommended.

We had a great stay. Loved the charm of the old home, very well appointed with everything we needed. Great kitchen / dining and outside space for gathering. The host went above and beyond to get us a rental hot tub since the other one needed repair and could not be fixed in time for our stay.

We had a lovely time staying here over the August long weekend. Very short drive into Gananoque, everything was as advertised, everything was very clean, instructions were clear. The host was very responsive to any questions or concerns (we had a power outage for a few hours during a storm). We did a bit of canoeing, however it should be said that once you get out onto the St. Lawrence the current is quick so be prepared to row! Happy the place was pet friendly as our small dog had a great time. There were three air conditioning units (1 in each bedroom and 1 in main area) and, while we were grateful for the relief on hot days, they were a little bit on the noisy side while watching TV or winding down to sleep. The only thing we would have wanted was access to the washer/dryer, but as it's stipulated they're only available for longer stays we were fine to respect our host's rules. Overall very happy with our stay and would absolutely consider staying again in the future.

My kids, my mom and I loved the place. Beautiful and cozy cabin, surrounded of amazing landscapes. It is very peaceful and quiet place to have a real rest-time. We stayed for few time (unfortunately) as we were doing some activities in nearest towns, but, ths place is incredible to be in contact with nature, to do hicking, fishing, and swiming in the lake and many activit. You can buy delicious apple cider (we bought also for to go), eggs, and many farm products (vinager, etc) for a very good price. If you read all the information provided by the land lord and follow the rules, this place will exceed expectations. We will come back for sure soon for more nights!. We love this cottage! We rent a cottage near Westport every summer, and this one was for sure one we’d come back to. It’s only 2 minutes down a gravel road (incredibly short) and a 9 minutes down drive to the grocery store, while still being beautifully quiet on the lake. We saw tons of deer and did lots of swimming. Highly recommend. Also highly recommend the driving range just down the road! We “worked from home” for the week, and the wifi was more than capable of supporting that (not necessarily city speeds, but for video on meetings and Netflix it was perfectly fine!)

Bang for your buck you won’t do better then this and location perfect right by the water. Walk the harbour and get some drinks at the water front

My Fiance and I had a great weekend at Stephan’s place. The cottage is very well equipped with all the necessities for a weekend away. We did have an issue with the water when we first arrived but this was quickly resolved the next morning! Part of island living! The shallow sandy bottom is perfect for swimming and our dog loved the space as well. I did have to walk my boat in due to water levels being low however this was not an issue. I would absolutely recommend and we hope to return next summer!

This is our annual cottage getaway. I can’t say enough nice things about our experience every year. The communication is amazing with lots of detail (you can’t go wrong), the location is quaint and the cottage it self is so spacious and welcoming. The price is amazing for this location. So worth it.

Pretty view of the Rideau River. Quiet spot to relax, take a stroll around the neighborhood. The kitchen had everything that was needed to cook. Comfy bed with a great view.

What an experience. Everybody should try this at least once! Renting your own private island made us feel like we were in a very private in exclusive place yet extremely close to things such as the boat ramp, restaurants, and other sights. You do need a boat of some sort, but that’s all part of the fun and experience! The house was well equipped uncomfortable. Swimming around the island was epic. It was a short 15 minute ride to get to sites such as bolt castle. There was also a great little restaurant in Rockport.

Really enjoyed our stay, it is the perfect place to enjoy the outdoors and relax. We loved the access to the lake, SUP & kayaks, & fire pits. There were also several thoughtful touches that we appreciated in our cabin.

The house was exactly what we needed for our trip to the Ottawa area—exactly as depicted in the description! My partner arrived before I did, and Anne was very responsive, answering his questions as I was still driving to the house. We also appreciated that someone came to clear even more space in the parking area while we were there. Would highly recommend for anyone who needs a place to stay with their dogs.

The retreat is a lovely tranquil spot in the Ottawa Valley. It is spacious and comfortable, with lots of big windows looking out on the surrounding countryside. The only close neighbours are the deer and the wild turkeys. Carol is a friendly and charming host and she responds right away to any requests. Highly recommended! I plan to return, any time that urban life gets to be too much!

Anne’s place was a great spot to stay while we visited family in the area! It was private and quiet and the surroundings were so peaceful! We’ll definitely be back!

Our visit was more than memorable. It let us experience a different way of life. if you are a musician or just enjoy music consider visiting this very special home. A couple days after arriving back home I bought a beginner guitar influenced by our stay. On a future visit I want to make a list of all the different instruments on display. Paul-Marc's home is more than a place to stay, it was a most enjoyable experience. Thanks from both of us!
