“We just came back from this AMAZING place and we can't wait to go back. First of all, the whole thing is spectacular. You can tell the love and hard work that has been put into this place. The swimming whole is a dream, you can't get enough of it!!! Outdoor kitchen has everything you need and more. The bed COMFY 100%!!! Seriously don't even hesitate to book this place. Now a few recommendations: 1) Mosquitos after 9pm are INSANE, so make sure you bring something for that. We had to go inside of the tent because it was too much. 2) River shoes are a must!. 3) Last night we had a thunder storm and the tent was very hot, so if you have like a battery fan bring it, that would make it easier (but first night was AMAZING, actually kind of cold, which made us feel in a 5 star hotel. 4) Wifi didn't work for us and we didn't have signal, so come ready to disconnect for real (we were very happy about it). 5) We brought our 2 dogs and one of them got bitten by who knows what, so make sure you bring some medicine for allergic reaction, burns and cuts. 6) We couldn't get in touch with the owners, but one of the locals helped us with some directions. Is super easy to get there actually. But just in case, try to get their numbers in case you need it for some emergency. You have to stay in this place and have the privilege to live this experience. Fell in love with Lanark, the people and can't wait to go back!!”
Lyncreek Cottage sits on private property on Lyndhurst river in Lyndhurst, Ontario. Observe various types of waterfowl or enjoy the sound of our meandering river as it flows into Lyndhurst Lake. This is all part of the natural surroundings in your own private cottage. A great place to stay if you are travelling through the area or while enjoying all the area has to offer including excellent fishing, paddling and hiking area trails.
“Elsie's place was clean, comfortable, private, convenient and a great "home base" for the area. There was more than enough space for the two of us, and we especially loved the ćdance of the fireflies" after 9pm from the back porch each night. Magical! It was a lovely, peaceful stay, and one we would whole-heartedly recommend to other travellers.”

“Justine is a fantastic host and put so much care and attention into the space. Every detail was thought about and I can't think of a single thing I'd do differently. The granola and coffee waiting on offer, milk in the fridge, the beautiful decorating and the comfie bed. It was a great place to launch our kayaks and rest after a perfect paddle. We felt very taken care of and welcome. Thank you for the wonderful stay. We'll be back for sure!”
