Le Moulen is a delightful old mill workers cottage in a nice quiet location with breath taking views that comes with the added bonus of having a stream running through the garden.
Set in the heart of the Normandie countryside, this home, that is still under renovation, is ideal for relaxing at, for an overnight stay, or a longer visit in order to enjoy the attractions in the neighbourhood eg Mont St Michel, the D-day beaches, mediaeval towns, and beaches on the Cherbourg peninsular, or in the area around St Malo. We welcome singles, couples of all descriptions, families (although unsuited to very young children under 3), and enjoy international as well as local guests.
“Very good stay with Jane and André. Accommodation conforms to the description. Comfortable bed, quiet place, in the countryside. Small, very pleasant private lounge. The possibility to eat on site suited us well as we were on a bicycle, and few shops / restaurants nearby. It also allowed us to spend some time with Jane and André and discuss and remake the world in English. A “real” Airbnb that we highly recommend.”
We are located in rural Normandy, France, 500m from a small village with shop/bar. Our home consists of an original house and adjacent barn conversion. We live in the barn conversion and it is the original house which is the accommodation offered here. The lounge has been maintained in the French style. The upstairs bedroom and ensuite bathroom are newly decorated. Separated from the main house by a thick granite wall, the accommodation has its own entrance.
“A wonderful, relaxing and homely farmhouse, with ample space both upstairs and down and a variety of places to sit, relax and eat outside. David and Anna are kind, thoughtful and helpful hosts – and we would thoroughly recommend staying at their property, which is clean, comfortable and has everything you need to unwind or self-cater. They provide information and maps of local attractions, and walks, so it is an excellent base to explore the area.”
