This country cottage is tucked away in a beautiful setting to help you relax. It has a view of a half-acre pond for those who enjoy nature at its best. If you are traveling for work, you have access to a workspace at the cabin where your only distraction might be the waterfowl coming and going from the water. As you can see from the photos, Tim and I really like wood. Inside the cabin, you will enjoy different wood creations by Tim. He enjoys making unique furniture.
“We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin! It was exceptionally clean and spacious. We had everything we could need and were very comfortable. The nicest part was sitting on the porch listening and watching the wildlife - very relaxing. It's a short drive to Levity Brewing (excellent!) and Philadelphia St. where we got some dinner. We will definitely be back!”
Cozy 1 bedroom cottage close to Ohiopyle State Park, hiking, biking, skiing and whitewater rafting. Great mountain views, restaurants and hiking within minutes of the cottage. Located in a perfect spot to enjoy everything the Laurel Highlands has to offer. Enjoy the peaceful setting and relaxing in the personal Jacuzzi spa. Good for couples and solo adventurers. Dog friendly - Limit 2. We also have a another rental in our detached garage apt 50 ft away and within view of side of the cottage.
“So I didn’t actually end up staying at this specific house rental. There was a mix up with the cleaning service and it was not prepared when we arrived. I will say that I called right away and after being very apologetic I was immediately switched to another rental down the road. I appreciate the very quick response and fix to the problem. The new house was in the same area, with the same amenities and was an upgrade since it was quite a bit larger. Everything was very clean, new and the house had all the basic essentials I needed. Would definitely recommend renting any of her properties based on the great customer service.”

A labor of love, we built this home with hopes of someday retiring here to enjoy all the area has to offer. In the heart of the Laurel Highlands this home is close to golf courses, ski resorts, museums, theaters, restaurants, numerous State Parks with great hiking and biking, Idlewild and Soakzone, and Ligonier Camp and Conference Center.
“This was our second annual stay here with our friends (4 adults, 4 kids), and we continue to love this creekside getaway! The Finch House is no cabin: it's almost certainly nicer than your house at home. It's well-equipped with everything you might need, from board games and puzzles to a waffle maker and toaster oven, and it's decorated in a stylish and thoughtful way. Outside, there's a wonderful new patio and shady porch, and of course the creek, which our kids loved playing in. Given the pandemic we spent most of our time in and around the house and never felt bored. I'm so grateful to have such a nice space to visit, and hope to return next summer.”
