Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Lake Hartwell

Great lake house with everything you need for a great experience. Kayaks, paddle boards, life jackets. The lake was right at the bottom of the property. The house was stocked with all the amenities for a fun, hassle-free stay. Checkout was very easy. the stay was fantastic! We would definitely stay here again!

My family and I had a wonderful stay! This home truly felt like our own—comfortable, well-equipped, and thoughtfully prepared. Everything we needed was available, making our trip smooth and enjoyable. The location is also super convenient, which was a big plus. Kait & Beau were fantastic hosts—very responsive, kind, and accommodating throughout our stay. I would absolutely recommend this home to anyone visiting the area. Chasing Shade was exactly as described. We’ve been going to Reed Creek for over 30 years, so it was fun to stay near the SC part of the lake. The house is close to everything. Even though it’s on a busy road, it’s set far enough back and has a huge yard. We loved that it was dog friendly, so that we could travel with our labradoodle. The decks and dock have great views of the lake. Swimming and fishing right off the dock was perfect. We even caught some fish! The kitchen and house were well stocked with necessities and more. It was nice to have inflatables and beach towels. The beds were very comfortable. Overall - a solid 5 star property!

Great location on the water. Close to grocery stores and restaurants as well. Large dock and deck with lots of chairs/tables. Large house with lots of space to have privacy when wanted, but also hang out together. Weather didn’t cooperate so we couldn’t take advantage of the kayaks, marina or hikes in the surrounding state parks. There was a binder listing local restaurants and the local waterfall hikes available.

Wonderful home with everything we needed, a great backyard we wished we'd had time to use, close to stores and the wedding activities we were in town to enjoy. The house is in a safe, lovely little neighborhood a short drive from Clemson and lakeside towns. Mara was accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend the nearby Oasis mini-golf! Super positive experience all around.

Great little place to stay on the lake. House was as pictured and had plenty of beds. Kitchen had pretty much what’s needed for basic meals, we cooked inside everyday. What I didn’t expect was how big the yard was, the kids had plenty of room and I wish I would’ve brought some yard toys. It’s a nice part of Lake Hartwell, the dock was a major bonus for the kids to jump from. Canoe and kayaks are a thoughtful bonus that aren’t always available for use with other rentals. The neighborhood is quiet and I felt comfortable taking a morning walk alone down the country roads. Host is very responsive and pleasant.

Great stay! We really enjoyed swimming off the dock. You get a great view of the lake while also being in a quiet, private area. We also enjoyed the lake views from the dining room. The host provided excellent directions and instructions for check-in.

We love staying at the Extra House. This was our third or fourth time staying here. This time we desperately needed a recharge of our body, mind and soul. Words and pictures can't come close to describing what a special place this is. We had a mixed age group...11 to 74...all loved it. It has something for everybody. If you need peace, come to the Extra House. Robin is the best host. He is friendy and kind. He goes out of his way to make sure you feel at home.

Such a beautiful home and place. We enjoyed the stay! The pool was by far our favorite just wish we had better weather to enjoy it further. Great customer service. We accidentally set the fire alarm off one night and she didn’t hesitate to message to make sure everything was okay.

Lots of space for our family, well stocked kitchen with snacks and drinks. Really enjoyed the pool and grill!

We had a wonderful stay at "Golden Tee". The kids loved the loft, and the lake was so convenient. A little slice of heaven! Thanks!

Tyler’s place was nice and comfortable. Clean beds and couches. We had a large group. My sisters and I planned on cooking daily. When I notified Tyler that one of the burners was not working he sent a maintenance employee to check it out. A new stove was installed for us to use. The children enjoyed riding their bikes in the neighborhood and wanted to get in the pool but it was too cold. We have to plan another trip. Christmas was fun at this house . Thank you Tyler for being such an awesome and responsive host!

This farmhouse vacation was the best our family has experienced so far. We have stayed at over 15 rentals via this platform and others but by far this was the best. If Amy could have controlled the weather, then the trip would have been unbelievable. The house has everything a person needs to stay comfortably. The location is peaceful. The animals come up to the fence each morning and night and allow you to pet them. One horse wants all the attention....lol. The donkeys allow you to give them love too. The house had a full kitchen, a bar area, large living room and 4 beautiful and well-furnished bedrooms. The pool was nice but only used 3 days since we had rain most days. If a person has a small group of 10ish people, this is the perfect house for you. The small neighboring towns have things to see and do. So many waterfalls in the area. You definitely won't be disappointed if you choose to go to Seneca and stay at this house. Amy, thank you for sharing your home!

Loads of character, bright and cheery. Host was super friendly and stocked the place with snacks and drinks. Very clean with plenty of towels and linens. Love all the farm animals. Great place to bring your dog with plenty space to roam.

I had a great stay at Brandon's for several days while doing some work at Clemson. It was perfect for my needs; cute, clean, nicely stocked kitchen, and peaceful. I would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Loved spending mornings on porch with coffee and the birds. We enjoyed dinners at the club and lunches at the bistro onsite too.

Pictures don’t do this home justice. The lake, the grounds and the home are STUNNING and so peaceful. We were blessed to spend 8 days here and only left the property one time to grab more groceries. The home is well-appointed with everything you could possibly need during your stay. And Monica is not only extremely responsive, thoughtful and accommodating, but also very kind and easy to deal with. If a getaway from the hustle and bustle is what you’re looking for, there’s literally nothing you’ll be left wanting if you choose this location. It’s clean. It’s quiet. It’s beautiful! It’s relaxing.

Amazing place to stay! My adult daughter and I had a lovely time here. We loved the place so much that we extended our stay. Beautiful surroundings, very peaceful. Lots to do in the area and surrounding towns. Cabin has everything you need. Michael and Jaymie were excellent hosts. You will not regret booking their place!

Paps Glap is amazing. Just what we needed for 4 days 3 nights of relaxation. It is actually how it is listed. The tent was set up in away that was not only clean, but comfortable. We were able to fit 2 adults and 2 dogs with no problem. The out door kitchen was perfect and i loved how he used the existing trees to make the counter. The lounge area is perfect and we even managed to get in a game of corn hole. Now my favorite, the out door bathroom. I now want a outdoor shower. Lol. And all this is nestled in a quiet, beautiful part of Lake Hartwell. Paps, you said if i had any suggestions, and the only one i have is a doggie ramp to the tent. After several trips up and down to the lake, those last 2 steps were just to much for the old lady. Thank you Paps for giving us wonderful birthday weekend. We stayed for our son’s fishing championship on lake Hartwell. Home was close to the launch ramp and easy to get to. Home was clean, well kept, and taken care of. We would recommend to anyone looking to stay close to the lake.

Great cabin! We enjoyed using the kayaks and paddle board which were easy to launch at the boat ramp down the street. Home had much more space than we thought which was a nice plus. Owners are very responsive and also provided good recommendations. The home is near (15-20 minutes) from Harbor Light Marina which is convenient for renting boats on Lake Hartwell. Awesome experience for my family of 6!

Such a quaint cute home. Everything we needed while we were there. 1 recommendation is to put house number on front of house as there are 2 homes side by side that look very much alike and we were unsure which home we were checking in to. Download instructions before you get there as you will most likely lose signal.

Great location, house was very clean, and host was very helpful and responsive! Will gladly try to book again next time we visit the area!

We always enjoy this peaceful lakeside cottage. The rain made for a soggy weekend, but the downtime inside playing board games was the family time we needed.
