Peaceful three bedroom home with large garden

La Charpenterie is our simple, rustic three-bedroom second home, surrounded by a large garden in a tranquil corner of Basse Normandy. It’s a place that we love to visit with our family and close friends to escape busy city life. While we are not there, we love to invite guests on Airbnb to let themselves in and stay. We think it’s a fantastic getaway for independently-minded travellers who are looking for some peace and quiet, in the middle of the French countryside without distractions.

Cécile’s House (jacuzzi, Manche – Normandy)

"La Maison de Cécile" is located in the heart of La Manche, in the village of Troisgots, surrounded by nature, 12 minutes from Saint-Lô. Completely renovated in the summer of 2025, it was designed "as if for us", to welcome families and friends for a break: 3 bedrooms, a jacuzzi, a French garden, games, a veranda with a breathtaking view of the Vire valley, a nearby greenway for cycling, and nature all around: total disconnection guaranteed. The house is yours, no neighbours!

Norman Cottage in the heart of the Vire Valley

Formerly a baronial residence, this recently renovated house is waiting for you. Dating back to the 18th century, this house was well known throughout the village, and even today, many locals remember spending time there. The renovation focused on highlighting natural materials (wood, stone) while adding a modern touch. Strategically located halfway between Mont Saint-Michel and the D-Day landing beaches, we will be delighted to provide you with advice during your stay.

La Maison Sans Soucis – Le Coquelicot Self Catering

La Maison Sans Soucis Gites are based in the little village of Le Guislain. Whilst we have no shops here the village of Hambye is a five minute drive away. Le Coquelicot gite will comfortably sleeps five and one infant in three bedrooms, and is housed in the same converted barn as our second gite, le Bleuet. Guests in both gites have full use of the gardens The rear garden is fully enclosed and has a swing and above-ground pool.
