"Hotel New Hyokk" An old mixed-use building quietly standing in a corner of the city near Kobe Station. There was a space there that had been abandoned and unused for a long time. At first glance, the Kobe-based Nishimura Group, an abandoned house renovation group, felt the potential of the place that had finished its role and set its sights on it. In August 2023, they opened an "art hotel where you can stay" based on the concept of "urban secret base". The total area is 93 m². The entire 3-story building has been renovated. * The hotel part is on the 2nd and 3rd floor & rooftop The second floor is a living space and the third floor is a separate bedroom, so it can be used by couples, families, and groups. This is an ocean view room on the sea side of the Gem base in Suma building. (Room No.1) During the summer beach season (July and August), the beach house and the BBQ restaurant next door will be open, so it will be lively until around 9 pm. Because the railroad is near, you will hear the sound of the train. Parking is not available on-site, so please use the pay parking lots nearby. The second floor is the main accommodation room, and the first floor is a large free space (with a sofa bed) that can be used freely. It can be used by a wide range of people, from couples and friends to families with small children and business travelers. Nishimura Residence is a traditional Nara machiya (townhouse) that is over 110 years old.In 2019, I renovated ‘Grandma’s place’, where I spent a lot of time as a child, and opened it as an accommodation.As the Nara machiya has been preserved in its original state, it can be quite inconvenient at times, and it is not a luxurious hotel where everything is provided. 　Instead, I believe there is no better place than Naramachi to soak up the ‘comfortable rustic’ atmosphere that permeates the town.We provide books in the room and a vegetarian breakfast in the hope that this environment, away from the hustle and bustle of the station, will help guests ‘reflect and recover’.(You can purchase almost all of the books in the room.) 　Please spend tonight in the tranquillity of the Nishimura residence and Nara-cho, listening to the voice of your own heart.
