This place is an absolute home from home, from the moment we walked in we felt comfortable and everything we needed was there. It is such a peaceful location being nicely off the road, we loved every second. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Thank you for a great visit!

Comfortable and homely. A great view across Angus countryside and hills from the upstairs lounge. A superb base for reaching Angus, Dundee, Perth and beyond.

Our stay at Fern Lodge with Caroline and Duncan was really great! It felt like home: well-appointed, with a very well-equipped kitchen, allowing us to settle in and cook when we wanted. The bed was comfortable and new, there was plenty of closet space, the bathroom was fantastic, and the living area very comfortable . It is a warm and cozy location in the middle of the charming town of Kirriemuir, with copious walking trails nearby (try the Lochaber walkpath and walk up to J.M. Barrie's grave on the hill). Caroline and Duncan were warm, welcoming, friendly, prompt with any needs we had, and had great suggestions for local attractions. On their suggestion, we went to the Cortachy Castle Highland games and bagged our first couple of Munros, both within an hour! Glamis Castle is within a few minutes as well. There are stores nearby and downtown within walking distance. We felt like neighbors as well as guests, and would definitely stay here again!
