As a dedicated vegan, J went above and beyond by preparing a delicious homemade meal to show how flavorful and satisfying plant-based eating can be. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and i loved learning from his enthusiasm! His home is filled with love, especially from his many dogs, who are clearly cherished as family. It was heartwarming to see how well cared for and happy they all were. J’s warmth, generosity, and vibrant spirit made this a very unique stay. River cottage is so quaint! Beautifully decorated and well taken care of, not a single thing out of place, and had everything we needed for our stay (I especially appreciated the fresh flowers and baked goods that Linda had thoughtfully left for us to enjoy). The surrounding landscape is absolutely incredible! It takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the city and makes you relax, breathe, and take a moment to appreciate life and its wonders. Linda and Brendan are one of a kind… consummate hosts! Easy to communicate with and made sure that we were comfortable in their home. We got a flat and Brendan immediately came out to help and went above and beyond any expectations, like true Irish fashion! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!Would stay again if I’m ever back in Ireland!

We had a lovely stay for a couple nights, really enjoyed the access to the beautiful countryside and cosying up by the fire - Isabelle was incredibly helpful giving us great tips and hikes! Also Isabelle cooks a brilliant at full Irish which we highly recommend!

grwat stay. very close to many great things but as described you do need a car as what takes 5 minutes in a car is an hour's steep hike on not the safest road for walkers.
