Beachwoods resort 1 bdrm

Colleen was very helpful and available from the beginning. She was in constant communication while setting up the stay and checked in several times during the stay. The place was updated and clean. The kitchen was stocked with all pots and pans, dishes and utensils. The unit had a full sized refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, and coffee pot. Right outside the unit was a washer and dryer that one other unit shared. The resort itself was very nice. We stayed Wed-Saturday and the place seemed very low-key and not crowded. During our stay we visited the large outdoor pool and indoor pool with waterpark and lazy river. On the lake we were able to use the paddle boats. The resort provided fishing poles with rubber bait. My husband caught a fish. There were lots of turtles in the pond and we were able to feed the turtles vegetables. The resort offered towels for the pool but if you want pool noodles or floats you will need to bring your own. The resort also had board games and dvds that you could borrow to use in your room. There were nature trails to hike on, a basketball court, a playground, a fitness center (and I think volleyball and tennis courts) but we didn't use any of those. The resort seemed to be short staffed but every staff member I encountered was very nice an helpful. The manager even texted me multiple times to check in and see how my stay was. Any questions I had she was able to answer. There isn't a daily housekeeping so you need to empty your trash in the dumpster which wasn't far from the unit. They also wanted you to wash and dry your towels if you wanted clean ones. But they also mentioned that they would provided more if needed. The bed had an extremely firm mattress. It was fine but I prefer mine to be a bit softer. The pull out couch that the resort had seemed pretty new however the springs probably weren't the greatest and it sloped a bit backward. I think if you put the kids on it, it's fine but I'm not sure two adults would want to sleep there. (The couch itself was incredibly comfy though.) The only thing I would suggest to improve for this resort (which Colleen doesn't have control over) would be the decking and steps were made of wood that seemed quite aged. We were on the top floor and had to walk up two flights of stairs. It was hard to not hold onto the railing, but we didn't want to get splinters. Also the top deck seemed scary (to me) because it was a high deck and the wood seemed way too aged and unstable. (I'm an over worried mom though so take that with a grain of salt.) As far as checking in, the time listed was 4 pm but we got there around 12:30 or 1 and they were able to get us right in. I asked if there was a late checkout beyond 10 and they said no. However, we checked out of our room and they provided us with an amenity key that allowed us to stay the day and use the pool and other facilities which was incredible since all my kids wanted to do was swim and do the waterpark. :) One last thing to improve is the accessibility to food and water. (Again Colleen has no control over this.) The drinking water in the facility was highly cholorinated. There wasn't any type of snack or vending machine anywhere, nor a restaurant or snack bar on site. The good thing was that walmart was right in front of the resort so only minutes away. However, all the pools said no food or drink allowed, so it made it difficult to be hydrated. (However, many of the guests brought in food an drink anyway.) I would just know this going in and make sure you bring your own water bottles or other drinks (and food.) My family enjoyed this place so much that we didn't even end up doing a day at the beach. Although we did stop by just to see it on the way home. Thanks for being so helpful and accomondating Colleen! It was greatly appreciated.

This is my favorite place I’ve ever stayed. Extremely clean which is huge for me, with such attention to detail. I’ve never felt so comfortable and clean and safe on a trip which is exactly what I needed this day. It’s also beautiful and the vibes and aesthetic are so cute.

Our little weekend getaway was great from check in to check out. We had a late arrival Friday night and Jonathan was very accommodating and even left our room lights on for our arrival.

This was the cleanest Air BNB that we’ve ever stayed. Host and hostess were friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and by the fire pit. We will recommend them to our friends and will definitely stay here when we return to OBX.

Hands-down, the best bed-and-breakfast we have ever stayed at. I have told everyone about it. The home is beautiful and peaceful. The hosts are masters of hospitality and graciousness. The food and service was just fantastic. You feel like family from the time you get there. Everything you could possibly need is already waiting at your fingertips. Can’t wait to go back.

Pet Friendly Room with double beds ground floor

KimRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We came in for the night due to work and had our pups with us, and this was one of the only places that allowed dogs. And the pet fee was included in the price (thank goodness!!!). Checkin was a little weird, it's a virtual agent you speak through a screen with, but it went fast and easy (just never saw that before). There is someone still at the front desk though just in case you have issues. We had a pet room that had a sliding door outside that we could easily get the dogs in and out with. Our room did have a smell of pets to it (I informed the front desk), but honestly most hotels do if it's a pet room. Other than that, our room was super clean and it was incredibly quiet for being on the bottom floor of a hotel. We would definitely stay here again!

Darold was very welcoming. He gave us a tour of their beautiful home and our room. Darold brought us fresh baked cookies to our room after dinner. They were delicious. The breakfast was very good. We are sorry we missed meeting Dawn this visit. We would definitely stay there again.
