We are a stone's throw from the lake, with woodlands & waterfalls on our doorstep. You can sit by a cosy fire or enjoy a walk/picnic by the lake on light evenings. Double room above the market town of Penrith.

We have one private room which can sleep up to 2 people. This can be set up as either double or twin room, please request your preference on booking. There is WiFi in the room The kitchen and bathroom are shared. We also have laundry facilities. Pets welcome. Parking is available. Penrith is the ‘heart of the Lake District’ and a good place to start discovering this wonderful area. We are only minutes from M6 junction 40. We welcome cyclists and walkers. There is a secure hallway for cycles.

High Park - perfectly peaceful, magnificent views

'Probably the best Airbnb we have stayed at.' Canadian guests, Sep, 2024. Our Lakeland Farmhouse, High Park in the English Lake District, is in the centre of a World Heritage Site. It was built in 1620, once owned by Beatrix Potter, surrounded by hills and trees, and with astounding views. At night, the silence is total. Set on the Dales Way, in the heart of the Lake District National Park lies Cragg House Farm. This working family farm now doubles up as a luxurious 2 room B&B. The house is situated on a quiet cul de sac in Kendal, a 10/15 min walk from the mainline train station, Oxenholme Station, and a 20-25 minute walk into town.
