Monthly Rentals in Kalapana

Can’t say enough good things about Ginger and her place. To start, Ginger was a very proactive and responsive host. She made us feel right at home as soon as we arrived, gave us a tour of the place, and recommended a lot of great places on the island. As for the place, you can’t beat the price! It is a little far out, especially if you don’t have a rental car, but the area and nice and private, and the stars light up the sky at night. Ginger provides us with all the amenities we needed for our stay, along with clear instructions for both check in and check out. Thank you again for hosting us Ginger, we can’t wait to return!

This is our second time staying at Ohana House, and we absolutely love it! The quiet, secluded location feels like our little slice of paradise. On our way there, we usually stop by the local grocery store to pick up some snacks, and we’ve always found the kitchen to be nicely stocked with essentials. The place was spotless when we arrived, which is always a nice touch! One of our favorite things to do is relax on the lanai while taking in the view of the vast lava field. It’s such a peaceful setting that really allows us to reflect and appreciate our time there. I even picked up a copy of Jade’s book to read while lounging on the lanai, and I can’t recommend it enough—absolutely loved it! We’d definitely stay here again! Being away from the hustle and bustle is such a big plus for us. We truly cherished this experience!

It was nice off grid place on top of lava with ocean view. It is a little hard to find but instructions provided by Morgan makes it easy. I’d suggest checking in before dark. It has everything you need.

This bungalow was absolutely quaint and adorable—so peaceful, private, and surrounded by the lush beauty of Hawaiian nature and palm trees. Abbie was a wonderful host, super responsive to any questions we had and made the stay easy and enjoyable. There was so much to explore in the area, and having Kehena Beach just minutes away was such a treat. Everyone in town was warm and welcoming, which made the experience even more special. I’ll definitely be coming back! Mahalo!
