Holiday rentals with beach access in Kalamaki Beach

Very spacious, modern apt with a beautiful balcony. The street noise below made it difficult to sit out and talk there, but the view of the ocean was very nice. Well appointed kitchen. Very clean and neat. Mihalis gave us a great recommendation for dinner nearby that was lovely. We had a nice stay here

From Sunrise to Sunset the North facing second floor apartment and balcony offered incredible panoramic views of the Mediterranean, Rethymnon Marina and Fortezza … absolutely no issues or problems with check in, in/out access with secure gated and covered garage parking … comfortable bed, quite building, hot water shower/sinks, flawless high speed internet, excellent cable TV, soft linens, sheets and pillows 5⭐️!

Giannis is a very invested, responsive and discreet host. We really enjoyed the welcome with a pastry (very good!), the oranges in the fridge as well as the drinks made available. The environment is very pleasant and the location is ideal, quiet but close to the promenade with restaurants. If you have any questions, Giannis has always been available as well as to make recommendations to us. Listing is as described. However, it should not be too big for the night part and the bathroom but otherwise everything was very good!

We stayed for two nights in Agia Galíni with Panagiotis, and the experience was really relaxing. The accommodation is very beautiful, perfectly matches the photos, even with a terrace larger than we expected! Upon arrival, we had the pleasure of meeting our host, who welcomed us warmly and gave us excellent recommendations for our excursions during the stay. He was available, attentive and very good advice until we left. We highly recommend this place, which offers great value, in the heart of a charming village with many restaurants and bars. We'll be happy to come back!

We had a pleasant stay at Maria & Vaggelis' apartment. The standout feature is the large terrace with a great view, where we could watch the sunset over the sea. Communication with the hosts was clear and the apartment matched the description. It's a good option if you're looking for a quiet village stay, while still being close to several beaches.

Absoutely Amazing Experience! The villa is amazing! Beautiful space which immediately makes you feel like home. Everything about our stay there was beyond our imagination. The stay in the beautiful cottage with breathtaking views of the sea and the caves of Matala was simply sensational! This view is absolutely worth the steep climb, so be sure to bring good shoes. Sofia is a warm and very attentive hostess, responds quickly and had prepared small delicacies for the reception. The cottage simply has everything you need, very cozy with attention to detail. Now I also understand why this house is almost always occupied.😉 In the evening, it can get a bit louder when the live music is playing, but you know that when you go to Matala.

The house was modern and comfortable. The pool was amazing - such a relaxing spot to unwind. We were surrounded by beautiful olive trees and stunning views, which made the atmosphere feel peaceful and special. And one of our favorite parts was the grill area. We loved spending evenings cooking and dining outdoors.

May 2025, 10 nights stay for three (2 adults, 1 toddler). Villa is really fantastic. Beautiful view of the sea and the bay. It offers plenty of space for more people (2 couples, 4-6 friends, 2 families) and for longer stays (storage space, cupboards and shelves, etc.). The furnishings correspond to the description and offer, even in the kitchen, everything you need. Our highlight was the covered terrace. Our flight was moved up at short notice. A significantly earlier check-in was no problem at all in our case. Stelios is a very friendly, helpful and dedicated host. We recommend him and his villa without reservation. Small limitation: the accommodation is a bit off the beaten track or the region is a bit urbanised (mainly due to the geography of the terrain). Without your own car, it will be a bit difficult in our opinion. However, there is a free parking space directly at the house.

The apartment is faithful to the description, a functional and welcoming house, furnished with excellent taste. Separate kitchen, possibility of cooking outdoors and outdoor space that further enhances the holiday. The real added value. Host always available to our requests for information. If you wish to experience a secluded garden by a non-travelled beach, almost like your own access to the sea, that is the place. A very good taverna is few meters away. Nothing best to let stress, driving, movida and consumerism behind one's shoulders for some days. Dimitri and his family have created a heaven of peace and a beautiful garden. The holiday-house from their parents is still decorated like in the 80s, but all the essentials are there. The generous welcoming, with a large basket of fruit, olive oil and salad from the herb garden, complete the feeling of coming home. Efkaristò! Many thanks! Rossella

Tasos is an extremely welcoming host. When we arrived late, we found a generously stocked fridge and freezer. Fruits, jams, rusks and cold and hot drinks were waiting for us. And Tasos was absolutely adorable to make our stay easier. We really appreciate it. Her apartment is very nice , the jacuzzi and the beautiful view make it a rare find. We highly recommend this rental, even more appreciated thanks to the many details Tasos has thought of.

I‘m more that happy that we decided to stay at Dimitri‘s place. He ish very kind and helped us right away, if we had any questions. The location is peaceful and has a great view. The beach is not far away and the size of the apartment is just perfekt for a single person or a couple. I will definitely visit again.

Just outside of the (now too busy) town. Still walking distance to town. Excellent views of both sea and highest mountain Spiliotis. I Friendly host. Can recommend. 👌

9 days holiday in a wonderful little apartment with a really great terrace. Everything is new and friendly and furnished with a lot of love. But we were even more impressed by Anna's cordiality and all her little (edible and drinkable) gifts, which were always left at our door. Thank you so much again, dear Anna. The apartment is easily accessible, with its own parking space right in front of the door and within walking distance of the beach and town. On the beach, you can lie down on the available loungers in front of most taverns for free and enjoy the day. Of course, you should also eat something at the respective tavern. The way back from the beach and also from the harbour area in Agia Galini is safe for one or the other to describe as a bit more exhausting, just like the 3 floors up to Anna's apartment. With heavy suitcases, a challenge :) But, with that you can then also go and eat comfortably in one of the many taverns with a clear conscience!!

Marianna’s place was great - we had a very pleasant time there. The view over the Mediterranean Sea is stunning, and the location is easy to access. Her mum, Sonia, kindly made us a local pie upon arrival, and she was so friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. There are several excellent restaurants nearby, and it’s only about 20 minutes to the Heraklion city centre. Highly recommended!

Fabulous attentive host. Light bright spacious apartment with a lift. Generous welcome pack , great walk in shower, large extremely comfortable beds and nice fresh linen. Large Windows and sliding doors onto two terraces , one with the hot tub! Sunset and sea views from both terraces. Close to bars and restaurants with Indigos our favourite just across the road on the beach front. We hired a car from the host and went on an adventure. Definitely the way to see Crete! The mountainous centre is fantastic and you get to discover other great places. Recommend Evita beach Bali which is just 30 mins along the coast. Truly a piece of heaven. Very sad to leave!!! Thank you so much for everything!

We stayed one night at Alexis’ apartment before we head to Chania, it’s a cosy and quiet place, close to everything, Alexis is very supportive and responsive, giving some good suggestions for local restaurants, we tried two, both are great, thanks for the local advices, giving us some unforgettable experience here.
