Whether its a romantic weekend for two or a base for your adrenalin packed holiday around the central plateau, you will find our cosy cottage an ideal base. Please note,great views also mean a bit of a climb. We have 33 steps up to our door. If you have mobility needs please check the photos before booking. This apartment block was built in 1976, so does look old and tired on the outside.

Our modern home is 15 minutes drive from Taupo but still feels like a secret hideaway. It is quiet and private with majestic views of Lake Taupo and Mount Ruapehu - the sunsets are stunning. Perfect for a getaway all year round with outdoor areas and BBQ, large windows and an indoor, double-sided fireplace. Wunderschöne Unterkunft mit traumhaftem Blick. Wir haben Michelle kurz getroffen und sind begeistert von der Gastfreundschaft. Danke für Müsli, bacon, Eier, Schokolade etc.! Wir haben den Blick auf den See sehr genossen und waren extrem zufrieden! Überall waren frische Blumen, wirklich sehr liebevoll vorbereitet. Die Terrasse war ein Traum ! Great stay at Darren and Jeanette's holiday home in Acacia Bay for a 4-day stay away from the city. It had everything a family of four could need, located in a nice quiet community right on the lake. The kids loved the community recreation facility with a full gym, pool and tennis courts. Next time we are looking to go back to the area, we will certainly see if their home is available! Thank you!

Kylie and Dan’s Lochside Retreat was absolutely beautiful! It was cozy, tidy and a very inviting space to relax. It was just as described however more stunning in person! Kylie and Dan had left added touches with treats, a prepared fire and candles for the outside bath. A personalised note was left on arrival. I would 100% recommend. Thank you Kylie and Dan!

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Czar's Rest. Morag was a thoughtful and kind host. We loved the beautiful surroundings and the home was peaceful and private. We had come down for a local night trail running event and were very grateful for the tub to soak in afterwards!
