We had an amazing stay! The cottage was just as described and in the perfect location so we hardly had to use the car at all and were able to walk to Windermere, Bowness and Brockhole with our two girls ( 13 and 8). The use of the nearby pool was an added bonus after a day in the mountains. We’ll definitely be back! 😀

This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

The lodge was fabulous, really enjoyed our stay. I even picked up a couple of decor ideas. Had a lovely time feeding the ducks, swans and other wildlife, very relaxing. Shops and amenities easy to get to by car, lovely restaurants around the area. Would absolutely recommend.

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

Our family had a lovely stay at Burrowbank at the end of the summer holiday. The house is fantastic with all the facilities you could ask for. The kids loved the swings and most of all the pool, while the covered (heated) BBQ area meant evening meals outside watching the sunset. Great location and setting, very private and we would definitely come again and recommend to others. Martyn and Christine were very helpful and went the extra mile (even posting my daughter’s disposable camera that she left behind). Can’t think of any negatives and we made some great/happy memories.

Absolutely stunning. We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate my 40th. Me and my family had the best time. We had so much fun in the bar, playing pool and watching movies. As for the pool and hot tub..... wow! It was just absolutely brilliant. we all had the best time. the house itself was stunning, cozy and comfortable. Delanie you were just wonderful . I loved how we were able to make ourselves feel right at home. Living like superstars for a weekend. Thank you ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I stayed here with my two sons and nephew when we did the Yorkshire three peaks hike, it was an ideal location and the property was immaculate. Probably one of the best standards I’ve stayed at. We liked the spaciousness of the house and the fact that it was super tidy and clean. James was flexible on the checkout time which really helped us. I would definitely stay here again.

We were after a home from home, somewhere to explore various local areas. It delivered and more! Philip and Maria were excellent hosts, even informing us of the once-a-year Gaping Gill winch experience, and helping us to get tickets. This was truly above and beyond, and the highlight of our week. This beautiful cottage in it’s stunning location is perfectly placed to explore Ingleborough, and we are recommending it to our friends. The little touches like lovely toiletries, bedding and decent washing and drying facilities (great when you’re ‘all weather folk’ with kids and dog!) set this apart from other places. Would give 6 stars if we could. Definitely would love to return.

For a quiet few days off the beaten track this place is ideal. From a dog owner’s perspective the garden was completely secure. Simple little things like the quality of the cutlery and decent sized mugs for your early morning coffee makes such a difference. The nearby pub is a hidden gem, they brew their own beer on site, and it tastes great. I wish we could have stayed longer.

We had a wonderful stay! It was a beautiful location with stunning views across the countryside, and walking distance from a route up to the peak of Ingleborough. A short drive from other local highlights including the hills, waterfalls, rivers. The accommodation provided a perfect base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. Thanks for a fabulous week!

We had a wonderful stay! Communication was great from the start, and the home itself is absolutely beautiful, cosy, warm, and full of thoughtful touches that made it feel really special. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower was excellent too. Sarah, her husband, and Joey were so lovely and welcoming, and their gorgeous dog made us feel right at home. Highly recommend this stay, would love to come back!

Fantastic stay at Anne Elizabeth's lodge. Cosy cottage in a beautiful location. Everything you need is there at the cottage. Would love to return sometime. Apart from the lodge being ideal, its in an area where there is so much to see and do, the lake district being only 40 minutes drive away as well of course as the beautiful Dales where the lodge is located. A beautiful little retreat, in a perfect location to go and explore the local attractions. White Scar Cave and the waterfall trail are both well worth a visit. Only a short drive to the Lake District too. Carly is an amazing host who goes above and beyond with all the extra little touches, she has thought of everything to make your stay so easy and comfortable. The Lodge is spotlessly clean and smells amazing. we will definitely be returning.

A great base for exploring the Dales and the Eastern Lake District. I did 2 wonderful sunny spring hillwalks from the doorstep and a further 3 within 40 mins by car. The cottage is exceedingly comfortable and a great blend of traditional decor and modern facilities, with highlights being the super comfortable bed, excellent new shower room and small but very well equipped kitchen. Thanks to Alexandra for the prompt response and short-notice booking, helpful instructions and extremely tasty cake, tea and coffee provided on arrival!

Quite possibly the easiest air bnb to check into, absolutely immaculate and amazing location with the most stunning views!! Will 100% be returning!

Spent a joyous week at Chantal's place in Bainbridge. It was cute, cosy, comfortable, quiet, stylish and well-appointed. Chantal was very attentive and had loads of great recommendations. Bainbridge is excellently situated for exploring the northern Dales and there are great walks to be had starting out from the village itself: the gentle climb up to tranquil Semer Water was a particular highlight.

We had a wonderful few days at Winkley Hall Farm. Fantastic property in a wonderful, peaceful location with everything you need for a relaxing, long weekend break. Our communication with our hosts was great from the moment we booked, to arrival and throughout our stay. And the lovely welcome gift was an added surprise and greatly appreciated! We were sad to leave and would definitely recommend this property, and will look to return at some point in the future.

A lovely little cottage in the heart of the village, very welcoming in both pubs. A lovely neighbour Jackie, told us lots about the village and things to do, have a chat with him. Great communication from Steph and Ant before our and during our stay, even messaged to say the cottage was available early and we could go in. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at this cottage.

The cottage was charming, impeccably presented and very comfortable. Everything has been carefully planned with the interest and convenience of guests in mind. The hosts were proactive, attentive and responsive. I couldn't fault it.

A beautiful house in a lovely setting, great for family get togethers, location right on the lake was amazing, & easy access to lovely local town of Glenridding for essentials. Wide range of facilities at the cottage, we really enjoyed the private outdoor eating area next with the wood fired outdoor grill. Very nice well appointed kitchen with quality appliances, bathrooms clean and with quality fittings. Outside garden/woodland area was perfect for us and our dog, although the many steps and steep paths would not suit everyone, but this factor is clearly explained in the information host provides. We found some rooms a little dark, especially on a rainy day but there are some lovely lamps which can be moved around if required. Overall I would recommend this cottage as a great place to stay & enjoy the lake district and all it has to offer.
