Welcome to "Cabin on Swede Hill". Our family has farmed this land since 1871. My great grandparents, Swan and Johanna Johnson immigrated to America in the 1860's, found this land which was similar to Sweden. They raised their family here. Approximately 65 Swedish families settled in this community, became to be know as the "Swede Hills". We just received the Hoosier Homestead Award from Indiana celebrating the Sesquicentennial Award. We invite you to come...... and experience country life.

Cozy Country Bear log cabin with many amenities

You won’t forget the peaceful surroundings of this rustic destination. Enjoy wildlife, kayaking, fishing, campfires, horses, hiking and games. We also have a sauna and a hot tub available on the premises There is Roku TV and WIFI in the cabin. You can sit on the front porch and enjoy the swing or rocking chairs and listen to the night sounds or chat with friends. You can also enjoy a campfire and cook over the open fire on our tripod grill. We have 2 other cabins and our cozy apartment listed.

The Shed Retreat

The Shed Retreat is a sacred space for anyone looking to shed their worries, fears, and busy schedules. Once a home for goats located in a secluded area on our property, it is now a peaceful garden oasis among the trees for those seeking a break from the norm. Inside, you can enjoy a cozy and relaxing place to lounge or rest. Outside, you can spend time around the fire pit, collect fresh eggs for breakfast, kayak on a nearby river, bike to local ice cream shops, or take a nap in a hammock.

Serenity Acres

Over 5 acres of pure serenity, just the sound of nature all around you! Beautiful Tucker Lake with hiking trail all around it just a mile away. This park like atmosphere has room for tents, RVs , boats, 4 wheelers and more. Just under 5 miles from the Fabulous French Lick and West Baden Resort town, but totally secluded.Cabin has two porches with rocker gliders and heavenly views. Find peace and restoration in this beautiful barn loft at Perkins' Good Earth Farm. The loft has a bedroom, separate shower and toilet spaces, work area, sitting room, kitchen space, and heating/cooling fresh air system. Located above our farm store, the loft provides privacy for you while giving you access to fresh fruits & veggies, locally sourced meats, homemade soups & salads from our farm kitchen, and so much more. You can also walk our farm trails, visit the veggies, or enjoy a campfire.

Welcome to Always Ranch where this unique tiny cabin offers you a tranquil spot to relax. You will be surrounded by nature and off the beaten path. The cabin may look like a lean to but the inside is rustic and warming. We are located 20 minutes form Salem, 20 minutes from Paoli and Paoli Peak, and 35 minutes from Frenchlick Casino The kitchenette includes mini fridge, microwave, double hot plate and, grill on the outdoor firepit or grill. Our non-electric cabin in the woods is the perfect glamping opportunity. This rustic retreat is a 5-8 minute walk from our house and parking lot. The 270 square foot tiny house has a queen mattress in the loft, a wood stove for heat, cooking facilities including a propane cook top and gravity fed rain water (non-potable).
