Beachfront holiday rental in Ilfracombe

What a special place this is. Me and my sister wanted to stay near the harbour as we know the area well, and Julie's apartment was perfect. It has the most wonderful views of the sea from the lounge and kitchen, plus the spectacular coastline from the balcony. As an added bonus the bedrooms look out over the town and harbour. We felt right at home as soon as we walked in and the apartment has everything you need - and some! It's warm, cosy and very clean; also so peaceful and relaxing to be able to sit and just watch the sea. Even though it wasn't warm enough for us to sit out on the balcony, we could still enjoy the amazing views. On the first night we enjoyed our fish and chips from nearby Maddy's and had a lovely meal in Santiago's the second night, which is also close by. It was very difficult to tear ourselves away after our long weekend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Glade, which felt like home as soon as we walked through the door. Lovely welcome pack for us and the dog. Combe Martin is a great place to stay, good amenities and beautiful scenery. We hope to return and will be recommending to family and friends 😀

Really nice stay. Ruth was helpful & responded quickly. The house slept 4 of us comfortably and was lovely & warm. It couldn’t have been better for access to the beach where winter dipping in the sea meant we could get back quickly & warm up. Highly recommended & Hele Bay is one of the nicest spots you could hope for.

A fabulous few days away in Park Cottage with friends. Really lovely cottage with very comfortable beds (and feather pillows which was a bonus for us) Perfect location and massively recommend Miss Fea’s for dinner. Would love to come back again. Matt, Linda, Jill and Andrew

We loved our stay and will definitely be back! The house is very well equipped with everything you can need a just a few mins walk from the beach.

Lovely home, well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Great for 4 legged friends with a secure garden and suitable furnishings etc. The home is in a lovely area , with great views over the estuary from the rear of the house, particularly the main bedroom. Bideford itself is very pretty and a good base for exploring North Devon as it is close to the A39 / Atlantic Highway.

Couldn’t be happier with our stay! Beautiful house and was exactly what we wanted, Joanne the host was great and was easy to get hold of, would 100% recommend this place to stay in bude and will hopefully be coming back again ourselves!

We had a great time at Dummett cottage. All instructions were really clear. Even the warnings about the low beams/door frames.... can't say I didn't try them out though!! Great views from the back garden and study. We had a front view seat with all of the military goings on from the British and french marines who were practicing across the bay on the dunes. Great food at flame factory and great music entertainment at the beaver inn. Lovely walks around the coast at Brownsham and across the water at Braunton. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. We had a lovely stay at Dreckly. Close to the local beach in Widemouth and those at Bude. Facilities were good on site, we enjoyed the indoor pool during the rainy parts our stay. Views from the holiday village were gorgeous. Thank you!

We loved our stay in Combe Martin, the caravan is perfectly located a short walk from the beautiful beaches, and there are wonderful walks on the South West Coast path and so many places interesting places to visit only a short drive away. The accommodation itself was really lovely and spotlessly clean. Please note there is no WiFi, and we feel it should not be listed in the amenities, as this is misleading. We finally purchased a connection to the John Fowler WiFi which was very poor and kept dropping off. This was frustrating and the only disappointment in an otherwise really fantastic stay.

This is our second stay at Atlantic View - and just as wonderful. Beautifully situated, with stunning views. A home from home - the space is very clean and well equipped. The holiday village is quiet, but with new facilities open which are lovely. Heated pool, bar and restuarant within walking distance.

Great chalet and all we needed. Good access to Widemouth Bay, Bude and beyond! Bonus was being able to use the pool onsite!

Great house in lovely location. Layout suited us well (2 families with kids and grandparents). Washing facilities proved very useful. Pool rota worked well and there was always a time available that suited us (open 8am-7pm). Host responded quickly. Lacking house guidance but not a problem and host responded to advise. Note access into house could be an issue for less able and push chairs-steep steps to front and lowest step broken away (advised host so this might get fixed). Rear access via steps and narrow sloping and muddy path. Parking to rear -you block in your other car. Parking spaces not spacious but adequate. We loved it thank you Beach Retreats!

We had an absolutely perfect stay at Naomi’s place with our two young children. The location is perfect - 5 min walk from the beach and literally a road away from the main strip of shops and restaurants. View is spectacular when having a cup of tea by the window! Use of the amenities at the nearby holiday park is a real bonus. Apartment was absolutely spotless, and had some really thoughtful extras, like a hidden doll house, some kids books and games. Thank you for a brilliant stay, we’ll be back!

We had a brilliant stay at Hideaway Cottage. It was well equipped, comfortable for 4 adults and the views (and sunsets) from the garden were absolutely stunning. Appledore itself is a perfect location to explore North Devon. Thanks also for the cream tea!

This was SUCH a beautifully clean and well presented apartment! The sea view from the main front window is a bonus. Everything was just as described and SPOTLESSLY clean. Sheila has done such a great job of keeping the apartment extremely well maintained and it is the perfect balance of homely but not over cluttered. Response was immediate and we had no issues at all. There is a nice Weatherspoons pub and a lovely Italian restaurant all within seconds from the front door. We were walking the coastal path so it was a joy to come back to a warm cosy flat. There are DVD's to enjoy and a large TV with lots of channels. Internet connection was perfect. No noise from other people in the flats. It is on the top floor so you have no-one to hear above you. Everything was simply 110%. One of the best Air BnB's we have stayed in for comfort and cleanliness.

We were so comfortable staying at Edds house. It’s one of the nicest Airbnbs we’ve ever stayed in. Everything was carefully thought out and we appreciated all of the small touches (particularly the bag of local fudge!). I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Andrew was very helpful and his home was beautifully presented. Parking is super easy, it's clean, the balcony is great and what I also loved was the equipment for families. I didn't need them as I wasn't with my children. But there was a highchair, kids crockery and cutlery and buckets and spades. The rooms are very spacious, the kitchen appliances work great and the welcome package was really appreciated. I would very much recommend Andrew's home for any trip to Bude. it has lovely views of the beach, golf club and cricket ground. you're away from the hussle and bussle, although a five minute walk away from it. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

A great spacious apartment with wonderful views of Saunton Sands. Very clean and well equipped and comfortable beds. Tol was veery helpful and communicated very well and responded quickly to our questions. We would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Beautiful accommodation exactly as described. Everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Plenty of clear instructions how to use kitchen appliances. Perfect spot to relax and look at the views and to access the beach. Would happily stay again
