Guesthouse holiday rentals in Hudson River

A massive thank you to Julian and Karen! I brought my girlfriend here for our 5 year anniversary and it did not disappoint. The cabin was so cozy and our hosts were so kind. Woodstock was a really cool area and it is only 20 minutes away from the cabin. We would love to come back in the future :)

This is I believe our 4th year staying at Sheena’s place in Saugerties the same weekend in May for a hockey tournament. The space is walking distance to town and the rink so we can enjoy the nightlife. The place is always immaculate, with fresh lilacs on table, water tea and coffee available for the morning. Bonus washer and dryer especially helpful during the hockey tournament. Sheen is always super responsive and flexible during our stays. Highly recommend Sheena’s place.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! I don’t think the pictures do it justice! If you are looking for an authentic Vermont experience, look no further, the cabin is so dialed, it’s in an idilic setting, super quiet and a ton of privacy but very close to town and anything you’d need. In the summer, at night, leave the windows open and enjoy the sound of the brook and stream directly below the cabin! Highly recommended!!

Thomas was an exceptional host and was very attentive. The actual cabin itself was so cozy it made it hard to want to go outside (luckily it was rainy most of the weekend). Lake George was a short 5 minute drive and walkable distance to get to, the surrounding woods and trial were extremely beautiful and quiet. The home was exactly as described and also had genius labeling on appliances concisely explaining how to use them. The kitchen was great, we cooked every meal and were so relaxed, the bed was great too everything was 10/10 would definitely go back and recommend!

Myself, my partner and our two fur babies loved Julia’s! The “little house” was our home away from home for a few days! It was the most quaint and tranquil cottage for my family to recharge! We had two nights of deep sleep as the bed is like a cloud! My partner took full advantage of the porch swing, clawfoot tub and our girls loved the ample acreage and privacy the little house provided. My family also loved our time poolside. It was tidy, clean and private. It was truly a place to have your morning coffee with zen! Julia was very accommodating to our needs throughout the stay, hospitable and responsive. We go out of our way to find privacy and somewhere that’s great with our fur babies. Julia and the little house delivered just that- We would highly recommend any stay with Julia and to experience this property for yourself!

Ed & Ann are gracious hosts. They were friendly and attentive to our needs. We were enchanted by the country charm of the historic guest house they have been restoring. The location is serene and bucolic with a laughing creek just outside the kitchen window. The kitchen is well stocked to cook meals, or drive to restaurants half an hour away. Our stay was a tranquil respite from our taxing responsibilities at home.

We were in love with this place before we even arrived. Tom was so friendly and communicative days before we set out for Vermont, that it made our check-in seamless. The guest house is amazing. The attention to detail is incredible- Tom and Karen made sure that everything was just right. Cozy robes in the closet, comfy beds with sumptuous bedding, board games, lots of nooks to settle in with a book, a stocked kitchen... perfection! And the setting... WOW! Stunning views and such a peaceful and beautiful setting. We had access to the farm and could walk and explore. I cannot wait to return! It must be incredible in the fall!!

Loved Mary's guesthouse! Great hosts who helped me with luggage. Beautiful surroundings with gardens and pool. Bed was super comfy and host provided coffee and fresh milk made my stay even better. Perfect place to stay for a visit to Williamstown!

Great experience! 2 wineries within 1 mile. Close to great hiking. William, was very accommodating with check in & check out time. Would highly recommend staying here. Very cute , clean and comfortable with get amenities.

Nancy was so helpful and kind through our whole stay. She was sweet enough to pull our toys for our son, help us set up things, and meet any accommodations we wanted. She made the place feel like our own home. The place was so clean and looked just like the photos. You are tucked away on the end of a road and have a gorgeous view of the water. Such a peaceful stay! Would highly recommend to others!

We absolutely loved our stay!!! The trail behind the apartment is awesome, and we loved the sound of the brook. We had a turtle friend too! We hope to return!!

My husband and I arrived late, around 9:30pm, because we had commuted after work in NYC. Everything was impeccable. The home is perfect in some many ways. We felt very comfortable and got an amazing night's sleep. The following more we had to head out early to pick our daughter up from Binghamton. She stayed with us on our second night. Nicolette's and Tim's Tiny Horse Barn is so perfect. It is exact amount of space we needed. Even though the space is space, there were 5 tissue boxes in perfect locations. This may seem a small thing to some. But if you have allergies, it is SO appreciated. The kitchen was equipped with keurig coffee pods, creamers, sugar, tea kettle and more than everything we needed. Equally the bathroom was perfect. The beds were super comfortable as was the temperature. There were plenty of great restaurants nearby. The attention to detail is amazing. Everywhere there are little hints of horses, but not in an overwhelming way. We actually are having book sent :)

Lovely aesthetics, close to many GB treasures. Wonderful kitchen space, with stocked pantry. Would recommend!

My boyfriend and I loved our stay here! Conveniently located near local parks to hike in and near some good restaurants; a beautiful area. Richard was a very responsive host and all of the instructions for check in and out were easy!

Seeking an off the grid, quiet retreat? This is the place. We were on a several week New England trip. Booked here for a few “off” days in the middle. It was perfect - serene with a few things to do in the vicinity without the rush of coastal cities.

I had an absolutely perfect stay! The host was incredibly responsive and made everything seamless from start to finish. The place was spotless—super clean and well-maintained—and the views were absolutely stunning. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!

I hope John will rename the place “The Cow House”. We enjoyed watching the cows every morning over coffee as they work their way across the property. While I love the windows to see the magnificent scenery (including cows) I wish there was a curtain option upstairs - 05:00 sunrise can be rough. The hot tub was fantastic and we got a chance to be in with the evening mist at dusk. We really enjoyed our time.

The Eco Cottage was a perfect, tiny gem tucked away in the middle of the beautiful green woods. It was so private, peaceful, and serene. It truly felt like my own little retreat and since I was there to go on a retreat, this was the perfect place to lay my head at night. I loved walking the trails and wow, the pool, which looked so inviting (even if it was a bit too chilly to use this time!). Everything was clean, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. Hosts checked in regularly but gave me my privacy. I really enjoyed my stay SO MUCH and will absolutely be booking here again the next time I’m in the area. Highly recommend!

I can't imagine staying anywhere else, Jeff and Dawn set an extremely high bar. The home is beautiful, clean, and as described. Jeff is responsive, warm, and wonderful to talk to. We will absolutely be staying again, I can't thank you enough! See you again soon!

Easy to find, key pad entry, clean. Graham left some fresh eggs from his hens..nice touch. Quiet spot in a natural setting.
