Barn accommodation in Hudson River

This is our fifth year coming to the farm. Larissa is absolutely masterful with kids of all ages (even tough kids). My daughter races out at 9 am to do farm chores and begs for more (and this is a kid who drags her feet doing chores at home)!! We love the rhythm of farm and find it really easy to disconnect and unwind. After chores in the morning, you're welcome to spend as much time as you want with the animals, which is a real treat. Whether it's feeding the horses hay, sharing food scraps with the goats, or watching the chickens do their evening routine, there's so much to enjoy. The local towns are lovely, but if you like the farm experience, you may never leave the property. Larissa is incredibly knowledgeable and generous in sharing her experience and expertise. She has created an absolutely magical environment, and I would highly recommend visiting!!

Very nice place, beautiful big deck, awesome creativity to the lighting around the property. A walking path, fire pit, hot tub, big deck to relax on, and a fully equipped stage. It is a step above camping but not quite glamping. A lot of fun, and Apple is a sweet bonus hostess.

We only stayed at the Wandering Peacock for 1 night but it was such a treat as a place to crash along our road trip. Not a corner of the home was glossed over, every inch of the place is beautifully curated. Abigail was super responsive and a welcoming host. We squeezed in some time for the hot tub, it was ready to go in 2-3 hours and super relaxing. 10/10 would recommend.

This was our second stay with Joe and Amy hosting us and it was lovely yet again! They are extremely friendly and responsive. The place is serene and gorgeous. We absolutely adore the chickens and thoroughly enjoyed the fishing spot they told us about. It’s a beautiful place to unwind and relax away from city life. We plan to return again!

Our party of four adults and two small kids really enjoyed our weekend in this unique and tastefully renovated former barn. The linens, bedding, and towels were all top quality, the kitchen was well equipped, and overall the place was comfortable and spotless. The location is super private and quiet, surrounded by nature and farmland, including an on-site stream and sheep (that's not a typo). A great spot to stay for a visit to the northern Berkshires - Mt. Greylock and Mass MoCA are very nearby. Our visit was on a frigid winter weekend with a ton of snow and outside temps in the 20s, yet our indoor temps were toasty and very comfortable, especially with the wood stove.

Absolutely great place to stay Ben was a great host and I really appreciated the way he had everything laid out and straight forward. Would absolutely go back anytime. If you want to get away for a peaceful relaxing time it can’t be beat. Cooking a great meal in the awesome kitchen then being able to relax in the hot tub

We had a lovely time at Blythe's place. The house was clean, cozy and so close to Bellayre mountain, which was perfect for our ski trip. Would definitely stay there again!

I can't say enough about how much this is the perfect Berkshires vacation/staycation/artist retreat/romantic weekend--you name it--place to stay. The property is lovely, cozy and spacious at the same time. Well-appointed. A 4 minute drive into town-with quaint shops and tasty restutants. And you are smack right in the middle of so many wonderful world-class cultural institutions, music, dance, theatre film, museums--all easy drives away. Julie could not have been a more gracious host, pleasantly answering questions and just always being kind and welcoming. Thank you for a peaceful, enjoyable, perfect stay. We look forward to staying again. I HIGHLY recommended this beautiful spot in the country!

The place was beautifully located and really clean and relaxed. We met with Masha (houskeepster) who was really kind and taught us how to make smores. All in all, great place and experience!

My sister and I stayed at Kevin and Mina’s beautiful barn for 5 days. It was the perfect home base as we traveled through the neighboring towns on the Gilmore Girls trail. The house itself was specious, clean, well-decorated, and comfortable. It was great having the flexibility of enjoying the natural sunlight with the skylights open during the day and being able to sleep in a little with them closed overnight. Would definitely stay here again!

beth was wonderful. the place was great. she was so sweet and kind and made sure we had a great weekend. would definitely recommend. the pond with fish was fun to feed them. the little recommendations book she made was very helpful. we were there for an event over the weekend and it was very relaxing and we enjoyed our time.

Great experience! 2 wineries within 1 mile. Close to great hiking. William, was very accommodating with check in & check out time. Would highly recommend staying here. Very cute , clean and comfortable with get amenities.

This was my second time staying at Maureen’s beautiful lakeside home and it surely won’t be my last. It’s the coziest, peaceful and inspiring place. Looking forward to future visits!

Our stay was great! My dog and I very much enjoyed the house, and the surrounding area. Mat was easy to communicate with, and very helpful. The wifi was great, and I had no issues working from there. The water pressure in the shower could have been better, but nothing's perfect, right? Overall, a great house, great host, and a very enjoyable stay that I would love to repeat in the future, and that I would certainly recommend to others.

This airbnb is definitely one of my favorites. It was fully equipped and within walking distance to plenty of restaurants and beautiful scenery. The owners are super responsive and offered everything we needed.

Wow, what a place. We were looking for a place to just a cousins girls weekend, in the woods/mountains some where. We wanted a big open space to gather, sleeping for 10 and privacy, we knew we would probably be loud (we laugh a lot and aren’t quiet by nature), this place hit the mark!! We brought all our food and drinks, the home had everything else we needed. This was probably the best weekend we’ve had in a long time. One of my favorite parts was sitting on the deck, enjoying the peace and sounds of nature!

This was my third time staying on Rosalind's property, but my first time in the "retreat" unit. The space is better in person than in the photos! It's a spacious two level unit with a huge bedroom/loft type area, perfect for setting up your yoga mat! The high ceilings and large forest facing windows in the bedroom were a highlight for me. Rosalind has always been a very responsive, thoughtful, and flexible host. I can't wait to stay again!

The Loft was perfect for our family. It was in a beautiful, quiet location and close to Woodstock and other towns. Everything was exactly as described and seen in the pictures. Actually, the pictures don't do the property justice. There was not another house in sight and waking up to a view of the surrounding mountains was therapeutic. Our overall experience in Woodstock and the other surrounding towns was so amazing, we are already talking about another trip. What made it even better was starting our mornings with coffee and the fresh mountain air, then returning to a clean, comfortable space that had everything we needed. We can't thank David and Susan enough for being wonderful, gracious hosts.

I love any part of this place especially the alpacas living in the farm. They are so adorable. My son enjoyed every moment. Thanks for the exceptional experience! Highly recommend it!

We stayed at South Quarter House for a week with our dogs while competing in a national agility event in the area. It was a great and quiet place to stay and rejuvenate before each day’s events.

Only complaint would be the noise from road during the morning commute

My wife and I rented for a couple nights to attend a dog show at the Fair Grounds. This place was close & easy to access. What we didn't expect was how remarkably quiet the street was, and being walking distance to coffee shops/restaurants! Lovely! Colin had a lot of labels up in the space, so it was easy to figure out laundry and where amenities were located. We would rent here again (and might!) anytime we want to visit Northampton. We recommend Spoleto's (italian) for dinner and Familiars for coffee & snacks - both were spectacular!
