There are also beautiful cycling routes. From Castricum train station (5 km), you can reach Amsterdam Central Station in just 30 minutes. Alkmaar and Haarlem are also nearby. Our romantic windmill (1874) is just a few miles from Amsterdam in wide green fields and along a meandering river: "Gein". Easy access to the A'dam. by car, train or by bike. You have the entire windmill to yourself. Three floors, 3 bedrooms with double beds: it easily sleeps 6, a kitchen, living, 2 toilets and a bathroom with bath/shower. Bikes available + kayak. Just leave some extra money if you did use them. No need to reserve ahead. Great swimming water and small landing just in front.

Beautiful house in the middle of nature and at the same time within cycling distance of the historic center of Leiden, the oldest university city in the Netherlands. The area offers ample opportunities for extensive cycling routes. In addition, within walking distance (800m) is a brasserie where you can enjoy lunch and dinner. We also offer the opportunity to explore both the Vliet and surrounding lakes and the center of Leiden on a luxury sloop, in consultation a lot is possible.

Loft in old fire station of Wijk aan Zee

Come and stay in the old Wilhelminaschool from 1884. In a quiet street is our building that was once built as a school, then served as a fire station and where we now live. This third classroom has been refurbished with a lot of love and patience and has now been transformed into a cozy 70m2 loft. Because the space has an open staircase and fairly open balustrade, the apartment is not suitable for small children. Kids from 7 years old are welcome.

Lovely private cottage with spectacular views very near Amsterdam and the famous historic Zaansche Schans. The cottage is situated in the typical historic village Jisp and overlooks a nature reserve. From the guesthouse, you can walk into nature or cycle to the forest, beach and dunes. The shops, restaurants, cinema and train station are only 7 minutes away by bike and are easily accessible.
