Conveniently located 10-40 km from: Hoorn-Enkhuizen-Medemblik, Edam-Volendam-Marken. But certainly also Alkmaar, the Zaanse schans, Amsterdam and not to forget, the coast of Noord Holland.

Description Bed and breakfast In a Glasshouse is located in Oostwoud, in the heart of Westfriesland. It is a cottage-style home located behind our glass studio, in the deep waterfront garden. It can be rented as a B&B but also as a vacation home for a longer period. There is, among other things, a Grand Cafe De Post around the corner where you can eat delicious food and a pizza eatery Giovanni Midwoud that also delivers. A motorboat is available for a fee. There are some restaurants, the famous cheese-market and you can rent a boat to see Edam through te canals. You can visit beautiful old villages near by on our bikes. In twenty kilometers you are in Amsterdam city. There is a very good connection by bus, it takes twenty minutes. A comfortable chance to visit the museums.

Our romantic windmill (1874) is just a few miles from Amsterdam in wide green fields and along a meandering river: "Gein". Easy access to the A'dam. by car, train or by bike. You have the entire windmill to yourself. Three floors, 3 bedrooms with double beds: it easily sleeps 6, a kitchen, living, 2 toilets and a bathroom with bath/shower. Bikes available + kayak. Just leave some extra money if you did use them. No need to reserve ahead. Great swimming water and small landing just in front.
