Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Hood River County

This is an outstanding property! Perched up above the Columbia River with absolutely stunning views of Hood River, mountains, river, you name it, even on a cloudy day, it was amazing! The space is perfect for a large family or multiple families, with plenty of sleep space and privacy on different floors. It was simply perfect for our family race team, in the area for an event.

We booked Alex’s place to celebrate a birthday in our family. The location is just a short walk to scenic trails and only a 5-minute stroll into town. Our family of nine had plenty of space to spread out, and there were activities for everyone to enjoy. The kids had a great time playing Jenga, while the adults appreciated the music from the entertainment center. It was a wonderful spot to relax and cozy up with blankets by the fireplace on chilly nights. We will definitely be returning!

I hope Travis counts his blessings when he goes to sleep at nights because he is a blessed man. This is a beautiful place and I’m an ideal location for anyone looking to escape to the mountains and enjoy the peace this world has to give. Ideally located, stunning views, and peaceful ambience.

Amanda’s place in Rhododendron was the ideal location for us to hike around Mount Hood and the surrounding area. Her place was very clean, comfortable beds, plenty of kitchenware and linens for us all. Amanda was a very nice host and we will definitely be back when ski season is here!!

Highly recommend! Lovely, well appointed home with gracious, easy to communicate with host. The house was very clean, quiet and spacious with comfy beds. Bunk beds even worked for grown up kids :) The location is great for snow fun, getting to Mt Hood Meadows easily or going into Hood River. And Parkdale is only 5 minutes away if you're looking for a brewery, grocery, coffee shop, etc. We'll definitely look to stay here again when looking in Parkdale!

Our friends were getting married at a vineyard in Underwood and this was the perfect home base for the weekend! We enjoyed the fire pit, the views, lounging in the living room, cooking meals together, and the super comfy beds!

I booked this place for a girls trip for 9 women in their mid-30s. We had a great stay. The view of Mount Hood is gorgeous. House was clean and spacious. Hot tub worked great. I would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay if you’re planning on a trip to Mt. Hood and the surrounding area!Dean was a terrific host, kind and responsive. The home is as beautiful as it looks in the photos. The location is better than anticipated as it’s a very short drive to local dining and shops. Would recommend to friends and family and will be returning ourselves in the future! Easy, convenient and practical. Extremely responsive hosts and accommodations- farther out than expected but I prefer that to busy in-city; Miss Oreo cookie cat was a great host too. great bathroom heater, clean, equipped for coffee and other light food and beverage. I would come again

I've always asked my techs about the places I book for them. Tom loved staying at Patricia & Frank's place. He said he would recommend anyone looking for a place, in The Dalles, to stay there. In fact next year I will be booking their place again for him if available.

Cannot say enough about the wonderful experience we had staying at Rivers Retreat. It truly is a magical place right next to the Washougal River where you are surrounded by nature and can hear the peaceful river below. The hosts are more than helpful and we were grateful for their recommendations. We enjoyed watching the bald eagles and relaxing by the bonfire. The indoor space was very well kept and full of amenities. We will definitely return for another stay if ever in the area.

Just a short mile from town, nice view out front sliding door of the river. Clean space, Christine and Martin were very friendly and have lots of knowledge about Columbia the Gorge.area.

Our stay here was lovely. It’s a beautiful little development in a gorgeous location. The place had everything we needed and when the AC broke down they were super responsive by bringing in window units until they could fix it. The bed was also super comfortable. The communication and location made this spot a lovely stay and I would happily stay again!

We absolutely loved this place, so cozy and non-pretentious. Beautiful antique glass collection and lights on at night in the garden were a bonus for us. We would definitely stay here again.

A wonderful, newly remodeled, condo in government camp. The space was so darling, perfectly organized, and a great location to walk to restaurants. The closest ski in and ski out you can find on Mt Hood as well. One of the nicest Airbnbs we have stayed in. Thank you!!

We had a wonderful stay with Andrea and David! Davis was a very welcoming and helpful host. He and his children even brought out toys for my son to play with! (I'm sure playing on the patio and lawn were my son's favorite things about the trip!) Everything was spotlessly clean, but we also felt comfortable there with our toddler. Gorgeous view, beautiful property, location can't be beat! We'd love to stay here again.

This place is stunning-- just as beautiful as the pictures and descriptions, with an incredible view of Mt. Hood from the living room. Thoughtfully designed, beautiful art, comfy furniture, with all the amenities you need for a peaceful getaway. The hot tub was a particular hit-- very clean, well-maintained, with an easy-to-remove cover. Just what our crew needed after our nearby day hike!

Wonderful quiet lovely place!

The place was in a great location. The property was beautiful, especially the creek and backyard areas. The cabin was stocked with all the necessities and felt very comfortable

We had a great stay with our dog. The grounds are expansive with nice walking trails and a beautiful view of the gorge. There are only a few cabins so it feels very private, not crowded. Inside the cabin, it was tastefully decorated, warm and cozy, plenty of outlets and the hot water was very hot. Everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again. Note that there is a queen bed on the main floor and two twin beds in the loft, I'm really not sure why the listing shows three twin beds, it's just not right. Also, the shower is pretty small, so would not be a good option for someone with mobility challenges.

Excellent stay! We spent lots of time down at the tennis court playing pickleball. We enjoyed several good hikes in close proximity to the cabin. On one of our hikes we stumbled upon the Sandy River with Mt Hood in the background……Breathtaking views! The cabin was well appointed with a loft that accommodated our 4 children quite well. This cabin is a great place to recharge and relax. We will definitely be back for another long weekend!

Perfect for two families. Quiet with great view of Mount Hood. Kitchen had everything, beds comfortable, cozy fireplace and warm wood-stove. We all loved your book collection! And games. Thank you for lovey weekend in your home!

Came to the area to celebrate my birthday and was not disappointed!!!! The home itself it’s beautiful and cozy and the decor is the best. The hot tub and backyard are divine. Multiple decks for relaxing. BIDET!!!!! There are so many paths you can take right outside the front & back door. You’re steps from the river!!!! There’s also great hikes surrounding the home if you’re willing to drive. We hit Mirror Lake, Ramona Falls, Trillium Lake, Timberline, and the Skibowl Adventure Park! The zig zig cafe was great for breakfast, but I highly recommend the buffet at Timberline! Chad and Mandy were super responsive hosts and they clearly have put a lot of love into this place. I highly recommend staying here and if I’m ever in the area I hope to stay again!

The Rhodi House was perfect!! From the wood burning stove and hot tub to all of the big windows, it was so cozy, and the perfect escape into the woods. Riley was also very communicative and kind. We would definitely stay here again!
