Approximately 45 min by car to Oslo. 15 min. walking distance to grocery stores, pharmacy, pizza/Indian/grill and hairdresser. The area has nice hiking opportunities and is close to the outdoor swimming pool "Bader'n" (open June 19 - August 16). The summer barn at Hovelsrud, Helgøya

The old summer barn of Hovelsrud Gård is idyllically located between Mjøsa and a rolling grain field – a simple and unique place for those who want to get close to nature and enjoy the tranquillity of Helgøya. The house is best suited for a couple or a small family with up to two children. Inside, there is a bedroom and an open-plan living room. Outside there is a kitchen bench, with a gas burner and barbecue, a small beach with swimming opportunities and an outdoor toilet. There is no electricity.

Come enjoy this quiet lakeside setting. The property is situated on the edge of the forest, 100 m from a small lake that connects to Storsjøen. There are plenty of hiking tracks in the forest, and we have two bikes for rent so you can explore the countryside roads. Storsjøen is a large lake great for fishing both in the summer and winter. In the summer, you can take the river down to the village of Skarnes, situated on Norway's longest river Glomma. We have a boat, a canoe and a kayak for rent.
