Our charming townhouse from the 19th century is in the heart of the Middle Franconian small town of Lauf a.d. Pegnitz right next to the historic Wenzelschloss. It combines old sandstone walls with an urban lifestyle. In the immediate walking distance is the city center with good shopping, top restaurants and cafes. In about 25 minutes you can reach the city center of Nuremberg, the airport or the Nuremberg fairgrounds. The hiking paradise of Franconian Switzerland is also not too far away.

Vacation home in the heart of Franconian Switzerland

The vacation home offers plenty of space and has been lovingly furnished. The spacious glass fronts provide light-flooded rooms and allow a beautiful view of the countryside. Due to the proximity to many attractions such as the summer toboggan run, devil's cave, climbing forests and wildlife parks, it is a nice place to stay for families, but also ideal for climbers, hikers and nature lovers. Nuremberg and Bayreuth can be reached in about 35 minutes by car, Bamberg in about 45 minutes.

Genieße die Fränkische Schweiz in dieser ruhigen und zentral im Ort gelegenen Unterkunft. Während man in der Stille der Nacht nur den Bach im Tal hört, erreicht man ganz viel Gastfreundschaft zu Fuß: 2-3 Restaurants, ein beliebtes Bäckerei-Café, der Kurpark, eine Tankstelle mit Shop & Café, ein Tante-Emma-Laden, Arzt, Apotheke und 2 Banken. Es gibt viel zu erleben: Führungen durch Burg und Felsenkeller, das Wanderparadies beginnt direkt vor der Tür, Felsenklettern, Stockbrot backen, uvm.

Hiking, biking, climbing and culture in Franconia

Apartment, on the first floor, two open sleeping areas (no closed rooms) climbing roof, balconies in all directions. A steep staircase leads to the sleeping roof! However, the double sofa bed is in the lower living area. Garden area with fireplace, outdoor sauna. Fully equipped kitchen, with gas stove. Spices are available, but you have to bring your own coffee. In summer, the service water is heated via the solar system. It may take some time for the heating to start when it is cloudy.

Vacation home Schloßberg - Schnaittach

The Schloßberg is the starting point for beautiful hikes (Baumbilderweg, Hohenstein Castle, Rothenberg Fortress). The biker park offers challenges for cyclists. The nearby Igelwirt offers culinary specialities in Franconia. Breakfast buffet (registration the night before)! The Burgweg is located on the A9. Via the motorway in Nuremberg in about 30 minutes. Schnaittach has all the shopping facilities. Herdersdorf station to Nuremberg Enjoy the peace and seclusion of the castle mountain.

Von dieser zentral gelegenen stylischen Unterkunft aus seid ihr in ein paar Minuten an allen wichtigen Orten - ob im Stadtzentrum, Meistersingerhalle oder Messe (dann mit der U-Bahn). Franconian culinary delicacies or nearby breweries offer various inns/guest houses in the immediate vicinity or surroundings in Hersbruck Switzerland or Franconian Switzerland. The Happurger reservoir is also very nice.
