Birken Cottage - Holidays in the Herbsthausen sawmill

Our three one-room apartments — Ahorn, Linde, and Birke — combine the historic charm of Herbsthausen with contemporary design. Each apartment is completely unique and has been modernized by us. They offer space for two to three people each. The apartments are part of “Herbsthausen”, an cultural project in the town of Gartow. We are renovating a historic sawmill and transforming it into a future-oriented place for art, industrial heritage, living, working, international exchange, and relaxation.

kulturhaus wahrenberg

Unfortunately, our farm is not suitable for excessive parties. Our house was built around 1850. The house & barn of the listed 3-sided courtyard are built in oak half-timbering. There are 10 wedding linden trees around the house. In November, when the lime trees are pruned, the house can be seen in all its splendor. From May onwards, it slowly disappears behind shady foliage, and so remains wonderfully cool throughout the summer...

In the heart of Trebel, between Lüchow and Gartow, lies the holiday apartment "Prior". The maisonette apartment can accommodate up to three people. The bedroom is equipped with a double bed, in the living room there is a pull-out couch. A bathroom is of course also available with all the necessary comforts. The kitchen and the dining area complete the offer. The fenced garden is also ideal for pets that have travelled with you.

Indoor swimming pool, city park, Jeetzel and the city center are in walking distance. Pets can be brought with you upon request. The conditions for this must be agreed in advance

In my large farmhouse in rural idyll, an apartment for 4 people is available. Located in the Elbe floodplains in the district of Neuhaus, it is also not far to Lüneburg, Schwerin or Dömitz. At the confluence of Sude/Rögnitz (on the property) you can watch beavers and nutrias. Simply ideal for relaxing and hiking. The floor area is about 100 square meters.
