Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Hiawatha Township

The house was great for our family, two adults and 3 teens, for a long weekend. It was helpful to have the extra space on the back porch to store our skis and would be great if we come back with our bikes in the future. The location was walkable to shops, restaurants and a short drive to NMU campus and downtown. We appreciated the local coffee and Trenary Toast provided. We also greatly appreciate the time and care that was taken to clear the driveway of snow from a blizzard that passed through before our arrival!

We were very pleased with our first stay. The house was very spacious, had well stocked kitchen which made meal preparation very easy. Bedrooms were good size. House was even decorated for Christmas with a real tree. Loved all the little touches in the home.

This home was a perfect place for a women's mini retreat weekend. It was a very comfortable space for 6 ladies. A suggestion would be a little heater in the main floor master bath for colder months would be helpful. It is quite chilly in there. We hope to stay again sometime.

It was very easy to check in and out. Sally was very nice & she lives next door in case of any emergencies. Close walk distance to get to the restaurants, park & bay beach (nice spot to enjoy the sunrise & fish) which we loved the most. A very quiet, clean, safe & peaceful town. Overall a great place for family time. Thank you so much Sally for sharing your house with us.

This is the fourth time we've stayed at Dennis's, and it never disappoints. It's always extremely clean and well stocked. Dennis is a kind, helpful, and conscientious host. The peaceful atmosphere and walkable neighborhood are lovely, but you're still only a few minutes drive from anything you could possibly need. We love it there and will return soon! Overall, I give Bob and Linda’s lodge 5/5. It was exactly what I was looking for: an authentic off-grid UP experience. It’s clean and homey, and Bob and Linda are top notch hosts, going out of their way to make your stay a good one. If you’re looking for a great off-grid experience, this is it. However, it may not be for everyone. For example, we visited in October, and we had to heat the lodge through fireplaces as there is no central heating. I personally enjoyed that but can imagine others not wanting to deal with it. The lodge has an open concept floor plan, and I recommend guests consider sleeping arrangements carefully. While there are a ton of beds, there are few doors, and most sleeping areas don’t have one. So it may not be the best if you have people going to bed or waking up at different times.

Great spot that is very walkable to all restaurants, breweries, shops, etc. We love to cook and the kitchen had all the gadgets you could possibly need! Would highly recommend to another for a long or short term stay!

This apartment is centrally located and so easy to walk to so much that Marquette has to offer. The apartment was so clean and tidy, as well as homey and spacious. We’re repeat guests in this home and will definitely return again!

Pam’s place was lovely! The home was in a convenient and in a safe neighborhood. The space was clean and Pam was very responsive and had the place perfectly prepared.

We were in town to watch a volleyball game at the high school and didn't know we would be so close! Beth's place was nice, clean and cozy, and she was responsive to our questions. It was perfect for our needs. Thank you!

What a wonderful weekend we had in Marquette celebrating my son's NMU graduation with family. This unique home feels inviting, warm and cozy and the location and setting are absolutely gorgeous offering stunning water views of Lake Superior. We were fortunate to see an eagle too. The privacy it offers was peaceful and the special lookout viewing areas to enjoy the lake were well planned as well as the relaxing sauna, indoor & outdoor gathering areas, wildlife including birds & squirrels, a pond and the beach & rock formations as well. Located a short drive to town and in close proximity to the great hiking areas and water falls too. The host was lovely, very responsive, and informative. Our family so enjoyed this special home and our visit to Marquette and many cherished memories were made!

Adorable space within walking distance of downtown Marquette.

Mike is one of the best hosts I have ever encountered. He is always responsive and polite in his responses. He is very thoughtful and great at informing the guest. On several occasions things had happened and he was very aware and proactive. This condo is upstairs but it is equipped with a baby gate that helped so much while my little one was learning to climb stairs. This has to be the safest neighborhood I’ve encountered. The neighbors are always looking out for one another. Very friendly host and the most stocked Airbnb I’ve stayed at for needs! You will not get bored at this Airbnb if it is storming outside. Lots of board games and books to choose from! Very organized and thoughtful layout. We loved our stay here and really peaceful so no worries if you need rest during daytime hours. We loved this host and our stay at this condo! Great for walking around outside and very safe for children. Also comes with a pack n play for your little one. We love that there are two bathrooms.

We had a great stay at Bonnie's duplex. It's easy to find with plenty of parking. Bonnie met us promptly on check in and we had everything we needed for our stay. Plenty of space for the two of us. Would definitely recommend!

This was our 2nd stay at the Clubhouse and as always my family looks forward to our stay. The home is very clean and a cozy place to gather. I can't say enough our Melissa & Ryan's gem on Lake Superior.

Laurie was fantastic to work with. Immediate responses to inquiries and a genuine dedication to providing a great experience. We had a minor hiccup at the begining, but she graciously corrected it immediatly. The one consideration for future travelers is the main floor bedroom. It states 2 beds, but it is in fact 2 twin matresses in a trundle/daybed. Although comfortable, be aware that the induividual in the bed, will have to step on or over the individual sleeping on the matress close to the floor. In addition, with the trundle fully extended, the door will not close, so there will be no privacy. Aside from that, it is well maintained and appointed. Given the restrictions and limitations that arise when renovating a building more than 100 years old, they have provied a wonderful and cozy space. We woudl defiently book with Laurie again.

While we did have this booked and we’re very excited to stay here a devastating ice storm took out the properties power. Carrie was very up front about navigating us through her process of when the power would be turned back on. However due to unforeseen circumstances the power did not get restored in time for our stay but Carrie was very helpful in getting us a full refund and also reaching out to Airbnb to speed up the process. My family and I would love to stay here in the future.

Julie's place was so comfortable and cozy. Sunrise on the beach shining through the windows in the morning was awesome. Julie was very responsive and helpful. It was a great spot to stop and relax on our travels.

Our stay at Kathy’s place was perfect! The rental was spotless upon are arrival and Kathy was extremely flexible with check in and checkout. Her communication before and during our stay was outstanding and prompt. Kathy went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable during are stay. I would definitely recommend her place and happily rent from her again in the future.
