This place is a winter and summer wonderland. Our cottage is a small 50's style with much character tucked away in the woods. We’re surrounded by the 70,000 acre Sleeping Bear Dunes. There’s plenty of skiing, canoeing, hiking and fishing, peace and quiet. We're on the boarder of Benzie and Leelanau Counties, the best of wine regions this side of the Mississippi and a true artisanal food destination It's a short drive to Honor, Empire or Glen Arbor. Traverse City is 25 miles east.
“The lemon drop cabin was amazing. Communication with Timothy the whole time was great - he gave amazing instructions and was so helpful with texting and seeing us at the house. The cabin has much better cooking supplies than any Airbnb I’ve stayed in, basically the same as home. 2 bedrooms with comfortable beds and a bathroom and cozy living room as well. There are games and DVDs available as well. The setting and off the grid status was incredible for relaxing. We had fresh snow when we were up, which added to the coziness. It’s so close to great hiking and snowshoeing at Sleeping Bear Dunes. I would definitely return if I’m in the area! Thanks again!”
14’ by 16’ wall tent, with private frontage on the Platte River. We have 2 queen size beds. We have electricity for phone charging or other small electronics. There is a treehouse style outdoor shower with hot water, as well as a portable toilet at the site that gets pumped weekly and is only for the campsite. We offer a charcoal grill and a fire pit. We also have firewood available on request. Enjoy your stay
“We had a great time and needed Chris’ tent on a transition night between St Ignace and Grand Haven, on our Michigan family vacation. The view of the river, right outside the tent home, is lovely. My son and husband tied the provided tube to a rope, secured it to the shore and did a “poor man’s float” down the river at 8p at night (it was getting chilly but they loved it!) Then, they pulled themselves back using the rope. My son was particularly happy to warm up with a hot treehouse shower after their adventure! Beds were comfy, and Chris happily provided extra blankets to keep us cozy at night. We had a campfire and toasted marshmallows prior to bedtime. Overall, it was fun and we would happily return!”
A private 2 bedroom, 1 bath ranch located adjacent to the Ransom Lake Natural area with miles of trails. 1 mile from "downtown" Lake Ann, 8 miles from Interlochen and 20 minutes from Traverse City. Convenient to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Frankfort. Dog friendly with a fenced back yard which includes a deck, grill, picnic table and fire pit.
“We had a group of 4 staying at Matt's place. The space was perfect for us. Very timely communication throughout. We stayed out by lake Ann for more space and better prices than downtown Traverse City, and while it's not super close, it was easy to get to lots of wineries and the general Traverse City area. Would stay here again.”
