Holiday rentals with breakfast in Het Hogeland

Friendly lady, helpful and tips. We were there briefly but very satisfied.

Mia is the best host we have ever experienced! We would give 100 stars if we could. And her beds are magic as it was the best sleep. She really is the most thoughtful and caring host, the accommodation is so charming and we highly recommend Mia.

Kindest hosts you can experience

Beautiful cottage, beautiful garden, beautiful rural area. Very good, various and abundant breakfast. The mattress was really comfortable. Annie and her husband are extremely gentle and helping but still respecting the privacy of the guests.

Overall a lovely stay in a very well located place. Kitchen was clean and had a large dishwasher which was helpful with children in tow. Full bath was lovely. Caretaker was friendly and a pleasure to work with. A really cool guy who furnished the place with personal, artistic touches. Groningen was so easy to explore on a rental bakfiets. Grocery, restaurants, parks and cultural places minutes from the apartment. Wish we had access to the washer/dryer given we were traveling with children. Bath was not operational due to a leak needing investigation through no fault of the caretakers doing, but would have made bathing children easier. Overall would highly recommend. Edwin was so friendly and oriented us during our check in. Groningen beats the bustle of the Randstad any day!

Roelie is very open and friendly. She explained everything to us on arrival and gave us tips for the area. Everything was super clean and the bed really very cozy. We both got a delicious breakfast in the room in the morning, where we could choose the time freely. The location is also great, you can walk to the city in 20 minutes. If we come to Groningen again, I would choose this accommodation again.

We only stayed for one night but felt right at home. Petra is a very welcoming host.

Alfred and Annalies are friendly hosts, who respond quickly to messages. We were warmly welcomed and felt at home in the room. The room was large, tidy and clean, as was the bathroom. Breakfast was extensive and very tasty. The only downside for us were the pillows, these were a bit too thin and too soft for us, but otherwise everything was fine. Thank you Alfred and Annalies!

What a great place, to stay at. I would recommend it to anybody visiting the area. Also the home is very pleasant to stay, very clean, lovely views from th living room, over the pond and the fields. Very quiet location for sleeping. The breakfast is very complete with fresly baked breads and croissants. And Cathie was so kind to let us pet her horses and goats. Thank you for a very nice stay, Cathie!

Janneke is nice, helpful and interested! Exactly appropriate! Everything is perfectly fine, clean, tidy and a great bed! In consultation, I showered at night, which was also no problem for Janneke (I had a party close by, with dressing and green hair, hence the desire to shower). Janneke is super understanding and that made me feel very much at home. Janneke is a super host! :)

A beautiful, modern accommodation that is beautifully furnished and had everything and more to offer than we wanted for a relaxing weekend. The highlight here is the breakfast, which is prepared with so much love. The organisation and communication was simply great, so that we immediately felt comfortable with our hostess Jitske. Thank you very much for everything and certainly see you next time!

Very nice B&B in a quiet area, especially in summer, the whore should be beautiful.

We spent 4 nights at this place, and absolutely loved it! The location is in the country along a canal. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. What a gem! I highly recommended this place to others!

The welcome is very warm. You stay in a very neat, nicely decorated room, with a good bed. There is a bathtub, and a beautiful shower all in pristine condition. I was unable to enjoy breakfast. This had to be confirmed in advance at an additional cost, which I had overlooked.

This was the perfect end to my vacation ❤️ Despite the fact that no one else was there, I was served a delicious full breakfast in my up, made with love! Beds sleep great, and it was wonderfully clean 😀 Super nice received by Gonnie and Richard. The perfect address for when I miss the last boat home again! We were completely delighted to stay in the "Vliegtuig". The small apartment is so individually and well equipped, Frederique such a friendly host and breakfast a dream. The apartment is very quiet and even has its own small garden. It doesn't get any better. Thanks!

I had an amazing stay at this beautiful room! It was even more stunning and well-organized than the photos. The interior design was tasteful and elegant, with so much attention to detail throughout the house and room — it truly felt special. Located in the heart of nature, it offered the perfect mix of comfort and peace. The apartment was fully equipped — a complete kitchen with tea, coffee, utensils, and thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. There was an optional paid service for meal preparation and snacks, plus a generous complimentary breakfast. One of my favorite parts was the outdoor seating in the backyard garden — a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The host was incredibly kind and accommodating. Knowing I had to leave early due to travel plans, they kindly woke up at 5 AM to prepare breakfast for me and pack it to-go. That level of care truly stood out. Highly recommended — I’d absolutely love to return!

Very surprising, colourful, artistic environment. You imagine yourself in a museum and are overwhelmed by the sights and sounds. Unfortunately, the weather was bad, but we still had a tour of the garden and sat by the campfire. Joppe is very friendly and hospitable, he also gave us a tour of his studio and art storage. What a place! It's not just an overnight stay here but a complete experience that you won't forget.

A very pleasant stay, even for a short overnight stay. The fact that I arrived a little later in the evening was no problem. The room was comfortable and equipped with towels and a sink. The breakfast was excellent and certainly worth your money. Recommended if you are staying in the north of the Netherlands.
