Alison is the perfect host and serves you a wonderful continental breakfast. Room and bathroom are very tidy and clean. I loved the location of the accomodation in a very quite and private neighbourhood and just 5 minutes walk to the most beautiful street and area of Lewes. Thank you!

Wir waren auf der Rückreise aus Cornwall bei Sue. Empfangen wurden wir mit Kuchen und Kaffee im Garten. Sue ist eine offen,sympathische, sehr nette Frau. Ich kann diese Unterkunft zu 100% weiterempfehlen. Wir kommen sicherlich wieder!

Sally Anns place is a wonderful peaceful piece of the world, with good amenities. Sally Ann as a host is excellent and her reccommendations for local food, drink and walks shouldnt be ignored. Very clear instructions for check in and great communication from the outset, thank you!

I had a comfortable room in Jane’s home. Other guests arrived and we had a fine time connecting in Jane’s kitchen. Jane laid out a simple nourishing breakfast, made coffee or tea. The location was excellent. Jane was a considerate and friendly hostess. Thank you!

I would say this is one of my favorite places in the UK, truly a hidden gem!! No one would ever regret coming here. Carol and Clive are very helpful and caring. They have a fantastic home in a lovely neighborhood with a huge, beautiful garden. You can spot sheep every day, and they take good care of every plant and even prepare food for the birds. They also leave a bowl of water outside for passing dogs, so sweet! The bed was super comfortable, I slept like a baby every night. The whole village of Lamberhurst is filled with birdsong, and every corner is peaceful and charming. I loved all the restaurants I visited, and everyone I met was genuinely friendly. I’ll definitely come back and stay longer next time. Thanks a mill for everything :)

Jan’s place is just lovely, set in beautiful countryside and stunning gardens. Peaceful and quiet. Super generous continental breakfast. Comfy huge SK bed. We enjoyed interacting with Badger the dog too. Thanks for a great stay Jan.

I had a wonderful time staying with Sue. The house is beautiful, lovingly furnished and very clean. The room I stayed in was cozy, and the breakfast was delicious. The house is in a peaceful area, within walking distance of many nice cafés and restaurants. Sue and her husband were very welcoming. I highly recommend staying here!

We had the absolute best time staying at Boldshaves. D and Peregrine were wonderful hosts! They were so accommodating and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The grounds are incredible and seemed almost endless! Truly, I don’t think I have seen such beautiful gardens. The bedrooms were quite big—perfect for letting our luggage breathe a bit—and the beds were so comfortable. The breakfast was also really fantastic with so many special touches!! We feel really fortunate that we found this gem. It was the highlight of our trip!!

Absolutely perfect ! Vivian was so great at getting in touch, very responsive to messages and very helpful with directions and information. She kindly offered us a slightly earlier check in for a quick outfit change for a wedding we added at Westenhanger castle, Vivian even said she would take us her in her car to the venue which we were so grateful for. She went above and beyond for us. Very much appreciated. The room was clean, it was pleasant enough for my sister and I to stay. We were greeted with a smile and lovely manor, we felt right at home. We would definitely book with Vivian again for any other wedding we have that way. Food in the morning was beautiful, scrambled egg on toast, we had fruit and pasties, also fresh orange and a range of coffee and tea all in our room. Amazing!!!. Very comfy bed. Lush breakfast. Beautiful garden to enjoy the sunset. And a railway carriage for a lounge. What’s not to like? Fab space and excellent hosts. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Simply Fantastic Hosting! Best Airbnb I've ever been to. The apartment is of great taste, with everything of the first line: towels, bedding, pillows, utensils. The place is great, close to the market, supermarket, bakery and coastline - very well located. I highly recommended this place. We will stay here again for sure.

Caroline hat uns herzlich empfangen. In ihrem hübschen Haus haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und gut geschlafen. Alles ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und besonders sauber. Das Frühstück mit ihrem selbst gebackenen Brot war sehr lecker. Wir haben von ihr auch gute Tipps für die Gegend erhalten. Caroline liegt das Wohl ihrer Gäste sehr am Herzen. Wie sind nur eine Nacht geblieben auf dem Weg nach Cornwall aber haben es sehr genossen. Wir empfehlen die Unterkunft gerne weiter.

Gite super avec des personnes accueillantes. Bonnes discussions sur pleins de sujets. Tout Bio et fait maison (miel, confitures, ...) Très bon breakfast. Personne confiante et de confiance. Je recommande +++++

Mary’s communicate was great, responsive and helpful. Great location for me from Newhaven port and to the different locations I was travelling to around Hailsham. Lovely home from home, clean, welcoming with safe parking for my car. Fabulous couple, one to keep for when I’m travelling via DFDS, Newhaven. Look forward to my next trip.

Excellent value for money! in a quiet cul de sac street away from traffic. We slept very well, lovely cosy bed. Be aware that the entrance is not facing the street but on the side of the house, by the parking spaces. We arrived in the evening and it took us some time to find it. Jeanette is a kind and welcoming host who is there for you and she sets a lovely breakfast!! Her house is a "home sweet home" with all the conforts and we enjoyed this very much.

Un réel plaisir que de se reposer chez Carole durant notre voyage dans le Sud de l’Angleterre. Le logement de Carole est une pépite : propre, très confortable, avec tout le nécessaire pour passer un séjour sans se soucier de rien. Carole et Marc sont des hôtes très gentils, agréables, souriants, accueillants et communicatifs. Nous sommes arrivés en confiance et sommes heureux d’avoir partagé 2 jours avec eux. Une belle adresse proche des lieux à visiter dans le Sussex et facile d’accès. Merci Carole et Marc pour votre accueil, ce fut un plaisir de vous rencontrer.

We recently visited this place, and I must say, everything was just as beautiful as the pictures we saw! They were incredibly accommodating, allowing our dogs and even providing a designated space for them. The venue was clean and tidy, making our stay very pleasant. We also enjoyed a lovely breakfast. Darren, the host, was fantastic—he took the time to explain everything, including directions on how to arrive and access the property, which made the entire experience hassle-free. The location is ideal, with nearby parks perfect for walking the dogs and just a short 7-minute drive to the seaside. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

I booked this for my parents as a short break to celebrate their wedding anniversary. they both had a lovely time and spoke very highly of the accommodation and the staff, thank you for making their weekend special!

Celest welcomed us to her home and it was such a pleasant stay! Our room was clean. Linens were fresh. All amenities are provided. Breakfast was absolutely stellar with cheese board, toast, yogurt and other food we can't remember. View from the breakfast table was a cherry on top. Celest even went out of her way to lend us a walking guide book which we had followed. We were extremely happy with everything. I would definitely recommend this stay to anyone looking for a quiet holiday with a friendly host.

Our stay was very short due to arriving late and having work the next day. But we were so happy with our stay. It was perfect for what we needed and it would’ve been lovely if we could stay longer. We had everything we needed, the place was spotless and check in was super easy and flexible. Was lovely to chat to Michael in the morning who was very friendly and helpful. Thanks for a great stay, hopefully we’ll stay again in the future.

Sarah greeted us and gave us the warmest welcome, this was an absolutely perfect countryside escape! We had the most wonderful stay in this beautifully converted stable, tucked away in the stunning Kent countryside. The setting is peaceful and picturesque – a true retreat from the hustle and bustle. The space itself was spotlessly clean and styled to perfection, with a lovely blend of charm and comfort. The bed linens were luxurious and incredibly comfortable, and there were so many thoughtful touches throughout that made the stay feel extra special. Every detail had clearly been considered with care. We wouldn’t hesitate to return – a real hidden gem!

Such a lovely peaceful spot in the countryside. we only stayed a night as we had a nearby wedding, but would happily stay longer. Breakfast was a lovely touch also. Highly recommended

What a fabulous place to stay. We had the most wonderful time at Yvonne’s. This is a real luxury retreat. The house and gardens are absolutely beautiful set in the most glorious surrounding country side with astonishing views. They even have a tree house you can stay in! We had a wonderful welcome from Yvonne she is really friendly and super helpful. Our room was beautifully decorated and with a cosy bed and fabulous chic bathroom. We stayed at Lamberhurst to visit local gardens Pashley Manor, Great Dixter and Scotney Castle literally on the door step. There is a pub opposite the property serving fantastic food and wonderful to be able to stroll back to our room after a bottle of wine. Yvonne served a delicious breakfast with eggs from their own hens 😃. This is a place we will definitely return to especially when the pool is open. There is so much to explore in the area and this is the perfect place to stay.
