Guesthouse in the North Frisian countryside

The house where the farmer used to live with his family has been converted into a comfortable apartment with a spacious living room and open kitchen downstairs, overlooking the meadows and the terpkerk of Wanswert. The apartment is in personal style and fully furnished. Where possible, we used second chance furniture. Together with the piano and comfortable wood stove, a nice living climate is created. The apartment has a cozy private garden all around, a private front door and lots of privacy.

The detached/rural apartment is located on the first floor with private entrance and terrace has beautiful views over the countryside. The open apartment is composed by: - The sleeping area: double box spring, a wardrobe and a dresser. - The living area: a 3-seater sofa, coffee table and television. - A complete open kitchen with a cooking island, dishwasher, combi oven and dining table. -The bathroom: spacious shower, toilet, washbasin, sink, infrared mirror and underfloor heating.

This cozy apartment is right on Makkum Beach. From the sunny balcony you have a view of the lake and the cozy boulevard. Downtown Makkum is a 5-minute drive/30-minute walk away. Really everything is at hand for the perfect holiday: surfing/sailing schools, the touring boat, cycling and hiking routes, beach pavilions, the charming center of Makkum and of course the beautiful sunset! The apartment has a private parking space and storage for bicycles.

In the historic Klein Humalda farmhouse, we rent an attractive and spacious apartment for about 8 people. You have access to a large terrace, three bedrooms, sauna with plunge pool, foot baths, two showers and two sinks, separate toilet, kitchen and living room and private sports and play area (of 80 m2). The apartment is 10-15 minutes from Dokkum, the Wadden Sea, departure points to Ameland and Schiermonnikoog and the Lauwersmeer National Park.

The Boothuis is located directly on open water and is newly 2022 modernly furnished for a pleasant stay and equipped with all facilities. Here you can walk and cycle along the water or through the woods. Museum or shopping, this is already 3 km away. It is also possible to rent a fishing boat/sloop/sup/sailboat/bicycles/a charging station for charging the car/hottube.

From this perfectly located home base, everything is at your fingertips. In the old hair salon of the island, you can feel like an islander. In the middle of the authentic village of Schiermonnikoog, you go back in time. You have your own terrace and entrance on the fronts of our house. We enter through the back entrance. This gives you privacy. Shops and beach are within walking distance. Beds are made at arrival, bicycles are ready. Enjoy!

From 23 May 2022 we started our Bed & Breakfast ‘De Witte Zwaan‘ in the historic port city of Harlingen. The B&B is located in the picturesque attic of a monumental building from 1646. From your B&B, visit the Wadden Sea, where you can mudflat, sunbathe and enjoy nature. You can also take the boat to Terschelling or Vlieland from here. Harlingen is a quaint port city, with plenty of restaurants and cozy pubs.
