Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Guilford

Michael and Marchen's house is in a lovely location right next to a pretty little beach; the house is airy, light, and very comfortable, and the views of the water from outdoors (and indoors!) are great. We were there for a graduation weekend, so didn't spend a lot of time hanging out at the house, but we would have enjoyed doing that, too. Kitchen was well-equipped; bathroom was clean and modern and pretty; beds very comfortable! Marchen was very responsive and helpful--all in all, a lovely stay and we'd stay again.

There’s so much to love about this charming open plan beach cottage! We especially enjoyed the water views, hearing the birds, and eating on the breezy porch. It was sparkling clean and stocked with everything you’d need, from comfortable beds and towels to many thoughtful essentials like hand and dish soaps, tea and coffee pods, paper towels/toilet paper, and shampoo/conditioner. Eileen is a gracious and responsive host — she was particularly understanding when we had to reschedule our visit. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Eileen, and we hope to return!

Mario’s place was beautifully renovated and outfitted perfectly making us feel right at home. Actually the home was furnished, cleaned and stocked better than most peoples primary homes! We’re ocd clean people and travel with our own cleaning products but that was completely not needed in Mario’s place. It was spotless! Even the washer/dryer were like new which we took advantage of during our stay. Traveling with seniors, infant and young toddler, we appreciated the home was baby safe and had kids games and toys. Love that the home was well thought out for guests and included plenty of paper products, plush linens, soaps, towel racks in every bedroom. etc. beds and furniture were both very comfy. This location is perfect and serene. We honestly would have been very comfortable staying for a much longer trip. Close to town with delicious food and lovely shops. Easy access to the highway too. We were all around impressed with this rental..One of our favorite airbnbs to date!

Our family had a beautiful stay at the Purple Button Factory. Charming and comfortable, this historic house was perfect for exploring Guilford. A special nostalgic trip for us as my children grew up here. Short walk to wonderful cafes and shops on The Green. We loved the birdlife and views from the back patio and absolutely fell in love with the picturesque sunny kitchen. Spent a lot of time gathered together there around the wooden table. Than you for sharing your home.

We had a great stay! Very charming house with peaceful backyard. There are restaurants within walking distance. If we’re ever back in the area, I will definitely book again!

Kristen was a super host! My bridesmaids and I used her space to get ready for my wedding! Not only is the space beautiful and light for pictures but Kristen was very responsive and accommodating in telling everyone where to park and how to enter the space! She even wrote a personalized note and left us a gift, something that went above and beyond!! Book this place, you will not regret it!!!

I love this place. Perfect but what we were looking for. Walking distance to access beach. Overlooking the pier. Very clean and check in with.

Barbara’s place reminded me of the way airbnbs used to be. It felt like home-away-from-home. The accommodations were high quality and clean, and there were even some tasty snacks! We loved our stay. Everything was as pictured. Stony Creek was wonderful, and we look forward to visiting again next year!

We booked this place to be close the the festival downtown and it was. 1.3 miles or 25 minutes walk. Perfect for us. The Airbnb was clean and spacious. Shower is a little small but ok. King bed is very comfortable. Yummy welcome treats on the table was a nice touch. Keurig pods and maker available for your pleasure. Well lit and very secure. Felt safe at all times. Great place to book if you need to stay in this area.

Very clean and comfortable! Tatenda is so sweet and responsive. Walkable to Yale and great restaurants, but also includes covered, safe parking in the building. We had fun grilling a dinner by the outdoor pool. Well-equipped workout rooms and the coffeemaker in the lobby was amazing offering a variety of options. We enjoyed everything about this Airbnb and will likely be back! Thank you Tatenda and Hyatus!

The place was really nice and the host was great! Don’t get discouraged if the power goes out during your stay cause apparently that’ll happen 2-4 times a year according to the host. Other than that I highly recommend

Dawn and Bob’s place is one of the top Airbnb’s we have stayed in! Top notch in every way. It was spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed. And on top of that Dawn and Bob were the most friendly hosts we have met! I would recommend this Airbnb without reservation and will be back whenever we are back in CT!

Great spot and at a really good price. Was visiting for a Yale event and was near enough to feel close without being too close to downtown. The area around the place is also super cute and not one I had explored previously. Huge plus for some good coffee shops nearby and of course Pepe’s. Camila was a great and responsive host. 10/10 would recommend Camila and this spot.

Obinna is a great host and this apartment is so comfortable and lots of space to stretch out. Fully stocked kitchen and there are fantastic restaurants within walking distance. Two 65", high end tvs and the mattresses on the beds are sooo nice. Obinna puts effort in where a lot of hosts cheap out, which really makes this pad special. It's tough to get an open spot here on the calendar, but, if get the chance, make your reservation here. It's the best in the area.

The Villa was exactly as described! Easy communication with owner. A perfect getaway weekend, every amenity we could want or need! Look forward to visiting again in the near future!

We had a great stay at Julie’s place. There was a slight hiccup with check-in times but Julie was very communicative and sorted it out promptly. The place itself was great, beautiful waterfront views and a private beach. The weather wasn’t the best but we still made the most of it. The apartment was compact but big enough for 4 adults.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The house was comfortable and clean. The amenities are perfect. It is such a perfect place to stay. Christina was very helpful, kind, personable and always quick to reply. Would definitely recommend staying here.
