We rent this beautiful apartment in our large, rustic farmhouse, which we have lovingly renovated exclusively with natural building materials. The apartment faces southeast and you can have breakfast in the morning sun. It has everything you need for cooking and when the moon rises you can light a small fire in the garden. In the Mecklenburg Lake District, there are an incredible number of great lakes and you can go cycling & hiking. Blankensee/Meckl. even has a train station.

We love contrasts - In Schloss Lanke, we rent a spacious 100 sqm loft in the attic. A castle loft. French Neo-Renaissance on the outside, subtle minimalism on the inside. Urban living comfort meets the lush nature of the Barnim Nature Park. Both together create the perfect setting for rest, relaxation and deceleration. In addition to vacation rentals, Schloss Lanke also houses the owners' apartments as well as office space on the first floor. We respect our privacy.

The surrounding gardens are a work in progress. The property is quite large and you can always find a quiet and peaceful spot in the sun. The night sky is wonderful for star gazing. Up to 10 stork families nest in the village from April to August each year.

In the house, in addition to this apartment, there are two other apartments that are used by the owner. However, each party has its own entrance and parking space. The village of Knehden is surrounded by the Netzowsee-Metzelthiner Feldmark nature reserve, just 5 km from Templin. The village is located in a hilly landscape. Cranes live here, but also sea eagles and ospreys. You can find otters and beavers as well as kingfishers. In autumn, the crane migration is a particularly impressive experience. 3 lakes are within walking or cycling distance.

My accommodation is close to NATURE, LAKES, FORESTS, FIELDS, MEADOWS, PONDS AND STARS. Very nice apartment with two rooms, each furnished with a double bed, in a house on a large courtyard that is open on three sides, with a garden, right by the lake in the Schorfheide-Chorin biosphere reserve, 70 km north of Berlin. All country lovers are most welcome.
