It was a party to stay in the garden room and garden! Glass of wine on arrival, delicious breakfast and unexpectedly a bath! That's very nice if you walked tiredly! Wonderful to be able to sit in the back of the garden in the evening sun and enjoy the beautiful views. Great bed, and smells delicious.

The beautiful mansion was a fantastic base for our family to visit Groningen and its surroundings. Anat and Boele are very hospitable, the location and the rooms are wonderful. Very nice beds. And the breakfast… wow, what a party: every morning homemade desembrood, pancakes for the children, crispy grenola and eggs from their own chickens. We enjoyed it! Thank you so much, Anat and Boele!

Although we initially had concerns about sharing a house with the owner, this was quickly cleared out. Hanna is a very warm and accommodating host. Although not present upon our arrival, everything was very straightforward and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The room was very cozy and lovingly furnished, the room amenities were totally sufficient. Also the bathroom was very clean and modern. We highly recommend this place!

We booked the place (plus extra room) for 3 nights and were two adults and two babies (5 months). The breakfast service in the morning was great and due to the oven it was pleasantly warm in the common room, at night it was a bit cool in the rooms, but we immediately got a portable heater so it was great! You can easily walk and reach some shops on foot. By car 20 min to Groningen. Great place to rest and relax.

We had a nice stay at the Bamboo Lodge. Very thoughtful that we were allowed to take a pitcher to the room for the cold evening and that tea was available for drinking. We were there now in a wet and cold period, but I can imagine that it is wonderful stay in the summer months!

Very nice place! You feel right at home in the jungle with peacocks and ducks as nice residents. Beautiful relaxing atmosphere yet quite close to the city center. :) The bathrooms were nicely distributed and clean. The cottage is cute to fall in love! And the bed super cozy. However, the wooden cabin is not insulated or anything else, so it gets quite fresh inside in colder months. The small electric heater is then also not strong enough to keep the room warm. With the many blankets we didn't mind, but frostbites should keep it in mind. :) We will definitely be back next year! :)

What a lovely wing of a beautiful, artfully decorated old house. We loved the out door kitchen BQ area and the lovely homemade rolls and marmalade for breakfast each morning with fresh coffee. Beautiful garden to explore and our dog was made very welcome. Our hosts were friendly and very helpful. Parking too! 😀

Good smooth communication and a warm welcome, tour and explanation. Clean neat bedroom, spacious ( shared) bathroom. A kitchenette with kettle and coffee machine. Small living room with audio equipment and TV, bookcase. Terrace with seating. Lots of tips about the area. Assen is 6 minutes away by car. As far as we are concerned: recommended.

The house is located on the country side with a nice scenic view with few horses in the neighbourhood. The room was very cozy with all the basic necessities and best part was the puzzle to keep us entertained. However the heater was not functioning as it should’ve , but rest all had a really good experience. PS : The house owner was very kind and friendly to talk to =)✌️

Cozy accommodations in a beautiful courtyard garden. Very friendly hosts. Mattress and bedding are fine. Was afraid that it would get cold at night (7 degrees outside) but that was very easy! Excellent breakfast and well taken into account gluten-free diet.

What a nice b&b. We received a warm and friendly welcome, and it is a nice quiet place. The room is not very big but had exactly the two most important things we were looking for: Nice (and cared for with attention and love) breakfast and wonderful beds. We would love to come back here again!
