New B&B in Groningen What was first used as a warehouse has been transformed into a B&B of no less than 75 m2 with the appearance of a loft, on the outskirts of Groningen. The newly built warehouse 14 is 4 km away from the city center. Loods 14 is located between two Groningen waters, namely the Damsterdiep and the Eemskanaal. It is one of the most beautiful places on the lake with the particularly beautiful evening sun over the beautiful Paterswoldsemeer. It is a rare and quiet place.

This city house was built together with many others when, in the second half of the nineteenth century, the city of Groningen ceased to be a fortress. The former walls were turned into a neighbourhood for the well to do, upper middleclass citizens who have since enjoyed overlooking the canal. In the interior of the house -that has been in our family since 1929- we try to create our own atmosphere using much of my parents' original furniture.

This delightful energy-neutral water villa suitable for 4 till 8 persons, was recently built and located on its own plot with lots of privacy on a peninsula on the Paterswoldsemeer in Haren. The house has a lot of luxury and comfort such as two bathrooms, a large kitchen with built-in appliances, a big dining and livingroom and a beautiful view at the Lake. At the deck terrace you can enjoy the sunsetwith a glass of wine in your hand.

Cottage on the Paterswoldse Meer

Directly located on the Paterswoldse lake, this beautiful wooden cottage, the last part can only be reached on foot through the park. Enjoy the tranquility, no noise from cars and the beautiful views over the water. Or go out on the water with a canoe or boat. The cottage is heated by a gas heater downstairs. A warm sweater and slippers are recommended in winter. It is not allowed to have parties or make a lot of noise here.

From your bed, you can look into the garden or the woods.

Spend the night in a salon car between the horses.

This cozy saloon car is in the yard between the horses, chickens and geese. Enjoy the simplicity of this nice place with a fireplace, your own kitchen, box bed and 'outdoor' shower and toilet (see photos). The car can be heated by a pellet stove and equipped with all comforts for a restful stay. A made bed, clean towels, kitchen linen and final cleaning are included in the price.

Everything is on the same floor in the cottage. In front of the cottage, you have a cozy terrace with a south-facing garden.

A lovely cottage located directly on the Paterswoldsemeer and yet close to the city. In front of the house you can swim and there is a small staircase to easily get out of the water or relax in the Jacuzzi on the veranda. In the evening, sit by the wood stove on the veranda. The ideal place to relax and unwind, enjoying the water and nature!
