fantastic house which is a lot bigger than the photos suggest. the house is very nicely furnished with all amenities needed. the setting is great right in the middle of the village with parking in front. there is 2 pubs and another a short walk away. Highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back

What an amazing place to stay!! Perfect location for a quiet time away, lots of walking and beautiful countryside. The cottage was just so cosy with all the things you need including a nice big bath to soak in after a day’s walking. I’m sure we’ll be back for another visit … soon I hope! 😀

We stayed at The Bakehouse for a couple of nights as a little birthday celebration for our daughter. It was exactly what we were looking for. It is immaculately well kept and has obviously been renovated with love and attention to detail. It has everything you could need, there was even a special little bag of items for the dog. The cottage is just as described and if anything the rooms were larger than we anticipated. Beds were comfy, everything worked, the bath / shower was always hot and although we had no need of the log burner it was comforting to know it was ready to go. Loads of beautiful local walks and scenery, farm shops abound, and eye tests at Barnard Castle are easily accessible. I would definitely recommend The Bakehouse to friends and we hope to visit again. AD Barn was a beautiful place to stay for a long weekend! It’s in a great location, was very clean, had everything you need and felt very homely. We would absolutely stay here again. There is a great cafe literally over the road, and a pub just a 5 minute walk away. Loved it!
