Of course there are fish halls at the harbor where you can buy freshly caught fish, and the sale of fresh fish from the side of the fishing boats. Close to Denmark's second-largest forest area - Gribskov - National Royal North Zealand with the beautiful castles and magnificent scenes of nature with lakes, forests and beaches. Historically Gilleleje is an old fishing village and it was here that many Jews were transported to Sweden during World War II. Gilleleje Church was a waiting place for Jews until they could be transported. In 1943, 75 Jews were caught by the Gestapo on the church ceiling after a snitch had informed the Germans. Everywhere there are monuments of historical events. Every year there are various festivals in Gilleleje - "Hill" Festival, Harbour Festival, Jazz at the port and The Herring Day. This natural gem is located north of Helsinge in Kongernes Nordsjælland overlooking open fields and forests. It is 200 meters to the forest where there are good chances of going mushroom hunting or just taking a walk in the beautiful nature. It is very common for forest animals to walk right outside the windows. For example, it can be roe deer, fallow deer and red deer. You can charge your electric car with us. We have separate electricity meters, so you will be charged according to the daily rates found at other public charging stations.

The house has 2 good bedrooms, a completely renovated bathroom and a large and cozy completely renovated kitchen/living room with fireplace. The sofa can also be converted into 2 beds, if the need is 6 overnight. From two beautiful wooden terraces and the large plot, the sun can be enjoyed from early morning to late evening.

Nordstrand B&B in Gilleleje is located in one of the city's old and beautiful areas, very close to Strandbakkerne and Kattegat and within walking distance to our amazing city and harbor. The cozy and undisturbed 40 m2 vacation apartment/annex with bathroom and kitchen, has access to its own wooden terrace/garden with garden furniture in the summer.

Granholm overnight stay Vognporten

Relax in this unique and quiet home on the Granholm farm, which is located in a lovely large garden, and with lakes, forests and bogs just outside. We live close to Helsinge, but still completely on our own. We have sheep and chickens. The apartment is built in the farm's former carriage gate and loft, and contains a large room with kitchen, dining area, sofa area and sleeping area. Toilet and bath next to the sleeping area. The bed can be divided into 2 single beds, and an extra bed can be made on the sofa.

On warm days, you can enjoy meals on the terrace most suitable to enjoy both the morning sun and also a beautiful view to the sunset. The high roof inside creates a good and spacious feeling making it easy for family and friends to enjoy life together during all times of the year.

Gilbjergstien B&B A lovely, bright cottage on Gilbjergstien with beautiful views of Kattegat, The Sound and Kullen. The cottage is set back in an old garden and has its own sunny veranda and terrace. In addition, you will have your own exit to Gilbjergstien, with direct access to the city and hiking trails along the sea. Leave your car. You won't need it anymore. The cottage is in walking distance to everything in Gilleleje. Enjoy the quiet evenings and watch the big ships sail by.

Esrum is a small quit village placed 50km outside Copenhagen. Esrum is beautiful situated next to one of Denmark greatest forest, Gribskov, and in working distance to Esrum Lake. Gribskov offers many outdoor activities, such as hiking, mountain biking, bird watching and much more. Esrum monastery is placed 100meter from the house, and offers museum and different activities. In the daytime there are a Café serving light dishes. Nearest grocery store is in the next village, 3km away.

Small wooden cottage located in a big parklike and lush garden, private and separate from the main house, only a few minutes to a large forest, lovely beaches and a charming town with shops, cafees and restaurants, and close to the train. It has one main room with two beds put together, a separate kitchen for simple cooking and a bathroom. The terasse has a roof and is surrounded by flowers, trees and bushes. Suited for a romantic getaway.
