Alice’s home is a truly peaceful sanctuary — a modern, elegant refuge where nature and design come together in perfect harmony. The clean architectural lines, serene colour palette, and beautifully curated interiors made the space feel both calming and luxurious. Every detail, from the layout to the lighting, felt deeply intentional and inviting. The three of us — close friends — had such a wonderful time here. Whether we were sharing meals, soaking in the spa under the stars, or simply unwinding in the serene indoor spaces, the home offered the perfect setting to reconnect, laugh, and rest. The surrounding trees, birdsong, and lush gardens made it feel like we were held by nature the entire time — utterly magical. Alice was a phenomenal host: warm, communicative, and thoughtful throughout. She’s created a space that’s more than just a place to stay — it’s a place to pause, exhale, and truly be. We left feeling restored and full of gratitude. Can't wait to return, thank you Alice.

We stayed at the cottage for 2 weeks visiting family in Masterton. It was absolutely perfect for our needs. The two bedrooms are very spacious and the beds extremely comfortable. There's an open plan lounge, diner, kitchen all beautifully furnished. We easily sat 7 round the table one night. It's a lovely old villa with original features and wonderful art works and quirky objects. Our 2 3/4 year old grandson was over the moon with the trainset, one of a big collection of games and toys. On fine days we loved sitting on the back verandah watching the birds flitting round and listening to birdsong. It was very peaceful. On Saturday mornings it's a short walk to the Solway Showgrounds for the Farmers Market. Joan and Michael are the perfect hosts, very quickly responsive to any queries. I'm so glad we got to meet them. This would be our first choice if we are back in Masterton.

Fantastic location, peaceful surroundings. Comfortable , cosy cottage with all the amenities you need. Arriving to a warm cottage with the fire already lit was a wonderful touch. The bonus being we could bring our pooch. Highly recommend.

Amazing place. It was like our own little piece of paradise. The house is so lovely and warm. Everything has been thought of. We are currently looking at dates for when we may be able to get back to The Punga Tree.

Richard was a very responsive host and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. The cottage is lovely and private, set among mature trees and garden. The kids loved the spa and sleeping up a ladder in the loft. Thanks again for a great stay

We had a wonderful stay at Emma's place. The house was in a great location close to town. Well equipped with everything we needed. Fantastic back yard with a beautiful big deck. Communication with Emma was great. Would definitely love to stay again.

This is a perfect spot to check out all that Greytown has to offer! A comfortable cottage within easy walking distance of all the shops. We would love to stay again!

Peaceful, private and such a beautiful place to stay. Loved it so much we didn't want to leave. Hope to be back one day.
