Newly refurbished, modern room, en suite shower, king size bed and door to garden. Two minutes to city centre, airport buses, local shops and pubs.
“We arrived in Cambridge at night, Sue waited for us until 9:30, greeted us warmly, and prepared a large pot of hot water for us. A hearty breakfast was prepared for us the next morning. I was uncomfortable with the local diet and my stomach was uncomfortable. Sue also helped to buy stomach medicine. Sue also has a cat, who is very close to others and will let her touch her belly. The room is in a semi-basement, and there is a small yard outside the window, the view is good. The room was very comfortable and had a separate toilet. The shower was hot enough and it was exhausted. The heating was very warm. Sue's house is close to Cambridge colleges and is within walking distance. It's a little far from Cambridge Railway Station. You need to take a bus (1 stop) or spend 6-8 pounds by taxi. There are seventy-two stacks in the street across the grass, and Chinese restaurants such as Tiantian Food are suitable for Chinese stomachs.”
The Bakehouse is a totally self contained, newly renovated characterful detached annex to the left of our house. It is adjacent to "The Cob" Airbnb. Not shared with anyone. Situated in a quiet position overlooking historic Thriplow's village green. Just a minute's walk and you reach the award winning community run gastro pub or well stocked village shop. Only 8 miles from the city of Cambridge, so perfect for anyone visiting or working in Cambridge or the surrounding area.
“A great little cottage-like space in quiet Thriplow. You're close enough to Cambridge via nearby access to the Park & Ride busses; but the village shop, and charming local pubs certainly mean you won't have to travel far often. Erica was an attentive host, and was very approachable when we had questions. We stayed in the Bakehouse and found it very clean, comfortable and cosy during the evenings. The little ammendments and nice touches made all the difference (home made bread!) . Would love to stay again.”
Comfortable fully equipped cottage ideally located close to Cambridge in the village of Whittlesford which has a mainline railway station (Cambridge from 9 mins, London from 60 mins). It is 5 minutes drive to Duxford Imperial War Museum, 15 minutes to Addenbrookes Hospital and 22 miles to Stansted airport.
“We can’t rate this property highly enough! A beautiful, spacious property with excellent amenities and thoughtful touches. Well located with plenty of things to do nearby. Perfect hosts who were always available to help / chat - and treated us to the most delicious tiffin on arrival. Would recommend without hesitation! Thank you Caroline and family!”
