Just get away from it all in this soothing, centrally located accommodation. Our lovely Cottage is located in the middle of the polder in a quiet park. The thatched cottage is located almost at the end of 1 of the access paths and is therefore really wonderfully quietly situated! The spacious garden offers a lot of privacy, but due to the open character you do not feel trapped. Go out during the day, hike, bike, visit Gouda, and at the end of the day have a drink on your own terrace by the water.

From the window of the upper floor of the renovated barn, which is located next to our farm, you have a view of the Cabauwse mill, and if you are lucky the stork will be brooding across the street. Aan de Kaai is in (Cabauw/Lopik), on the border of the provinces of Utrecht and Zuid Holland. In the middle of the Groene Hart of the Utrecht Waarden and the Krimpenerwaard.

Welcome to our “bakhuisje”: a national monument from +- 1700. The house is cozy and comfortable; living downstairs, bed is upstairs on the mezzanine. It has a cozy electric fireplace and a comfy couch. The bathroom has everything needed. Kitchenette (without cooking) with small fridge + coffee/tea and a beautiful view (vegetable garden, greenhouse, fruit trees). Of course WiFi and a workplace. Beautiful surroundings for walking/cycling and a small sandy beach in the river at 2 minutes walking.

We chose this house because of the beautiful garden, but also because the garage gave us the opportunity to turn it into a cozy guesthouse for you to come and experience Gouda and the Netherlands! This cottage is not suitable for noisy guests and groups of friends who are looking for a base for parties. In addition, the cottage is also not suitable for guest workers. Please note! The upper floor has a low ceiling.
