The cabin is located right down by the seafront in the harbor of Alnes with panoramic views of both the fjord and the ocean. It is fascinating to watch the bird life and boat traffic. The light changes throughout the day, you can see both sunrise and sunset from the living room window. This is a place where you can find peace. Right outside the living room door there are well-marked, varied hiking trails. You can also go on day trips to Ålesund, Geiranger and Runde. On the neighboring island there is a water sports center with equipment rental.

Free parking. 1/2 minute's walk to the fjord, where water enthusiasts can rent rowboats and SUP boards. Feel free to cycle/walk to Atlanterhavsparken, Tueneset with its beach, trails, gazebos and fire pit, as well as World War II bunkers. You can walk up to Sugarloaf from here. Location on Skredestranda, about 3.5 km from Årvik ferry dock, in a quiet and peaceful area. Here you can relax and recharge your batteries. You may be lucky to see a flock of sperm whales in the fjord, or see eagles and deer. Rovdefjorden is a busy fjord for both large and small boats, as well as cruise ships on their way to/from Geiranger. The cabin is located 20 m from the lake, where there are good fishing opportunities (rod). Steep rocks and shallow depths. We have life jackets available.
